I'm no expert, but I see Kruger as more of our 3rd line centre than 2nd line centre going forward. I don't know when the 3C role will be his, but until then I expect he'll bounce around as needed between 2C, 3C and 4C. - DarthKane
Our depth is something i haven't fully appreciated 'til now. Agree that Krugs is better suited to a 3rd line role. And IMO, so is Bolland. He's miscast as a setup man for 10 and 88. Let him play the Rat role on the 3rd line and chip in with timely offense when he can. In sum, Krugs and Bolland are both solid options in the 3rd line c role.

Miller can't renegotiate his deal. In fact, no one can. However, Miller could use this as some sort of reference or starting point for a contract extentsion this summer. - EKolb13
In essence that's what I meant. He has a year left so I believe wherever he goes, he'll want an extension that begins after the final year of his deal. |

It's also nice to see we catch Detroit in the second night of a back to back for the last inter-conference battle against 'em. |

Kasha's?
What? DOWN THE STREET from YOU?
I grew up at 1901 W. Superior St.
My father made a living pumping gas at the Standard station Damen and Superior, now condo's. (He was shot and killed in a robbery early one morning right after my Freshman year of high school ended in'65.)
I stood on the corner of Huron & Damen before every game, waiting for the older grown guys who had me as their apprentice in their season ticket plan...
Did we have this conversation on 300 level a few years ago, or are their more neighborhood guys? - wiz1901
We did not. I grew up in Lockport and moved to the area in October. I am a half block from Augusta and Noble.
I like the area. Pretty laid back, not too many hipsters or loud nutzo college kids, some solid bars easy L access. Between Augusta and Division over to at least Damen it looks like they are making a big rehab / reconstruction push which is a good sign. |

I agree that Bolland is in the wrong role between Sharp and Kane. You know Q is probably going to stick with Bolland between those two once he's back. |

Our depth is pretty damn sweet that's for sure.
Depending on what happens with Bickell and Stalberg in the off season our third line could be a combination of Shaw, Bolland, Kruger, and Frolik next year.

Maybe Handzus is part of that equation too? I could see Bowman holding onto him, provided he comes cheap. |

With Q's penchant for line tinkering, i'm a bit surprised he hasn't soured on 36 yet as the 2nd line center.

Hope 29 and 25 stay at a fairly reasonable price. Bicks at $750,000/Stals at $2.5 tops

Q hasn't done much tinkering this season unless there have been injuries, and swapping out guys on the 4th line/third paring to get guys playing time. |

To be honest, I'd like that a lot. Our 6 bottom 6 forwards would be Handzus, Kruger, Shaw, Frolik, Carcillo and Bolland, assuming we lost both Bickell and Stalberg. Even if we kept one of both of these guys it would be pretty damn solid. |

Those would be fair deals. But I think we'll lose somebody next season in order to have room to re-sign Emery. Leddy and Kruger will be the top priorities, but I'd like to see Stan take a shot at Emery too. We all think he'll get a big payday elsewhere, but will many GMs pay him #1 money given his health history? I know it's certainly possible, but when you think about it which teams would chance it and would Ray want to play there? 2 years at $2 million per would be a good deal for Emery. This way we at least have the safety of having a good goalie locked up when Crawford's contract expires. |

First line's been set for the most part and ditto the 2nd when 36 was healthy.
65 did stay with 29 and 25 for the longest time, but they look like they've been broken up, but yes, Q's been much better this year.
And i really like the recent d pairing rearranging. Looks like the Pizza Man has been demoted to the 3rd pair for the most part, with Leddy's immense improvement a main reason for that.

I agree. Oduya may be the #5 defenseman now, but this provides some pretty solid depth on D and a good balance between puck moving defensemen and defensive defensemen. Oduya and Hjalmarsson started off well but struggled as of late (as a pair) but I wouldn't be surprised to see them reunited in the playoffs if Leddy struggles. |

Change will come no doubt. You hardly EVER...see the EXACT same group back from year to year. The cap and free agency are obvious reasons why. So i'm bracing for changes to the roster. Would love to retain Razor. Just don't want to overpay or agree to a length that is not wise. 2 years seems right IMO.
Also hope that Razor gives us a discount with the faith, patience and resources we have availed to him.

Ian's a big-time homer, and he has homer thoughts. I'll just enjoy it that much more when the Canucks get bounced from the playoffs. - prd797
I know I always do. Hopefully the Hawks bounce them this year and we get to watch as their last glimmer of Cup glory circles the drain. |

Would not be surprised either. Like the Duncs/Hammer...Seabs/Leddy pairings though.....
