We want Bolland healthy.....if he is a 100% or close the Hawks will do better in the play offs. I think if there is chemistry found between 10-88-16 and Bolland is dropped down to where he is more comfortable on the 3 between 25 & 29 good things will happen.........and the better he plays the more of a return we will get when he is traded in the off season. Bolland has always been a post season player and that theory will be tested this year but no one can argue a healthy Bolland will help the Hawks go much farther this post season. - UnnamedSource
Sounds good to me; hope it all plays out that way.

Not saying your wrong, I just think those guys no where they can and can't get away with things. They are even more active when they know the refs have a blind spot. There's a reason Toews and Datsyuk take the puck away way more than anyone else. Its like faceoffs, being the best just means your the best at cheating - rollpards19
I agree with this. And with the faceoffs. Detroit has gotten away with a lot of interference for years. I guess as long as u don't get caught it isn't cheating. So they say |

So Taylor Hall doesn't even receive a hearing?!?
Joke.
I'm thrilled that team is sinking in the west...would luv to see the Hawks bury them when they travel west in a week or so.
I still loathe that team for the 80's... - ArlingtonRob
That play didn't need a hearing.

Sticking up for himself? I didn't see the whole game and maybe there was some extracurricular garbage that precipitated what happened but the clip I saw, Michalek didn't do anything and had his back to Hall when he decided to tomahawk the back of Michalek's leg. Like I said earlier, he's building quite a resume. Dbag indeed! - HawkintheD
I'm sure you'd feel differently if Hall had done it to Mike Smith who ranks #1 in the NHL as a D-Bag. I know I would. |

Rob, you don't get it. Target the head with your stick....bad....chop away maliciously at other parts of ones body.....hey good hockey play as long the refs don't "see" it.
Use of the stick as weapon like that should be a automatic 5 min major, gme misconduct and 1 gme suspension minimum!
I look forward to the day the NHL gets serious about all the after-the-whistle macho goonery: face washes, crosschecks, take downs, slashes. Start throwing em in the box or out of the gme. The NHL considers itself so special as the only mjor sport that allows after the whistle BS to be just part of the gme. |

Who's worse, Oilers fans or Canucks fans? I can honestly say that I don't know any Oilers fans. - DarthKane
I know a bunch of Oiler fans in Ontario and they're cool...but those that defend Hall are CLOWNS.

We agree on most things unnamed, but I'm done with Bolland. The guy can't stay healthy anymore and isn't that useful when on the ice. I've moved on, just hope Q has as well.
Then again, if he does produce in the post season his value increases.
Time will tell... - ArlingtonRob
I'm waiting until the playoffs are done to form an opinion on Bolland. This has been his worst regular season so far, no doubt about that. I think it has to do with serious injuries. And he can be replaced no problem in the Regular season, but he really shines when it really matters most: playoffs |

We can clinch another day. I just want the blues to get into 4th or 5th and face LA in round 1 |

I always hear it said, and agree completely, that players need to be in control of their sticks...to know where they are at all times...when it comes to high sticking.
But apparently 2 handed chops to the achilles is considered a "hockey play".
Perhaps a hearing and possible suspension isn't necessary, but in the least a substantial fine should be assessed.
It's a cheap, dangerous, garbage play. |

Exactly. Plus you know the team to come out alive will be roughed up and maybe injured. Plus wouldn't mind San Jose and anaheim beating on each other, either, in another round 1 matchup |

Congrats ArlingtonRob,
SteveRain and I are formally inviting you to our Bollus party. Ogi is none-too-happy either, since Sharp stopped hitting posts upon his return and instead is into the mode of crest-shooting. |

His response: He held my stick and I responded with a slash...probably harder than it should have been. But ya know heat of the moment stuff happens.
Well isn't what they all say..heat of the moment blah blah blah....
And remeber this heat of the moment incident from Mr. McSorely
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvDk7jtNNhc
and the idiot announcer says he was trying to tap him on the shoulder.... |

Its not about being happy or not. I'm not exactly the biggest Bolland fa either, but I'm a Blackhawk fan......and if Bolland is healthy and playing to form it makes the team better.....bottom line. |

Interesting point from today's Trib. In his last 5 starts, Crawford has faced Anaheim, LA, Detroit, Nashville and St Louis. In his last 5, Emery has faced Minnesota, Nashville (X2), Anaheim and Clagary. Is Q tipping his hand by playing Crawford against tougher competition for the most part? |

I like Bicks...he's been a good soldier, and those numbers are fair. However, in principle, i cannot justify tripling anyone's salary when they are M.I.A. on too many nights. - philco28
Just catching up on the day's posts, apologies if this has been covered since you wrote it... If Bicks were making $1.35 this year, would you be okay with paying him $1.35 next year? |

Crawford has done well against Detroit this season. This might be a good game to help him get back in the saddle. |
