I think Vancouver have the edge in Goaltending over Chi. Chi has better D (top end) , and the forwards are even . I think if Kesler stays healthy him and Hansen will play shut down to Toews Saad . Sedins against Hossa will be pretty even and I like our 3 rd line better than Chi and an edge on the fourth also to Van.

Team toughness also an edge to Van

I think Chicago has better top end talent at both forward and defence, perhaps Canucks have a slight edge in the bottom 6 forwards? Chicago has a few guys with some grit, but against the bigger teams who play along the wall instead of in open ice I'm not sure they will be successful. I guess we'll see.

As Canucks fans, we're experts on how fast, puck possession, presidents trophy winning teams don't win the cup (often...)

I'm really not trying to be a homer here but its ridiculous that you have Van ranked above Chi. A team that has a core that have all won a cup together over Van?

Let's break this down line by line

Sedin/Sedin/Burrows vs the P.Sharp D.Bolland P.Kane line? I don't think so. We all know how much the Sedin's love to play against Dave Bolland

Higgins/Kesler/Hansen vs the B.Saad J.Toews M.Hossa line? Kesler is a great player, and he plays good against Toews, so they cancel each other out. That leaves Brandon Saad and Marian Hossa against Higgins and Hansen? riiiiiiight.

Kassian/Roy/Raymond vs Bickell Handzus Stalberg,
Weise/Lapierre/Pinizzotto vs Carcillo/Bollig Kruger Frolik

Bottom two lines kind of match up pretty decently.

And about the Hawks looking beatable lately, the Hawks have one four out of their last five and have points in their last five straight, and have given up five goals against in those five games. Pretty beatable, right?

I suppose. It comes as a by-product of actually putting pucks into the net. You'll get there little one.

Hawks lack of goaltending and soft play will be their undoing, I'd say 20-1 would have been generous.

Well we haven,t seen too much of a lack of goaltending so far this season. But as we all know it just takes a hot goalie come playoff time to win a series or two. The Hawks will more than likely go further than the Canucks though because the Nucks will have a much tougher first round , if they play the Blues or Wild they won,t beat either team in a 7 gamer, unless their goalie stands on his head.
