Well we haven,t seen too much of a lack of goaltending so far this season. But as we all know it just takes a hot goalie come playoff time to win a series or two. The Hawks will more than likely go further than the Canucks though because the Nucks will have a much tougher first round , if they play the Blues or Wild they won,t beat either team in a 7 gamer, unless their goalie stands on his head. - HawkfaninBC
I'd take us over the Wild in a heartbeat if someone gave me odds. The Blues are a bad match-up so I agree. The Wild have to stop losing first before they even make that 6th seed. |

We must lead the league in goals waived off. - AlexF
Haha how is that a good goal |

I suppose. It comes as a by-product of actually putting pucks into the net. You'll get there little one. - AlexF
A for effort on that one I suppose. |

Actually pretty reasonable outside of the overrating of Vancouver. Not even the biggest homers would take those odds. - Nucker101
I'd put us at 10-1. And I wouldn't put Washington anywhere near 6-1 but again, it's an opinion piece. |

What a nonstop hit parade it must be to put in an extra .05 goals a game.. |

You have no idea. It actually leads to playoff participation. |

Yeah but the keeping the puck out of your own net actually leads to drinking out of that trophy. Just ask LA how that works. |

I wanna say us, and Phoenix being ten times less likely than even Dallas puts a pretty high premium on 1-2 points. |

And simply making the playoffs is what Vancouver does best! |

And VERY simply missing them is what the Oilers do best! I know which option I'd prefer! |

Anybody listen to @FarhanLalji on team 1040 today? He was going off on Don and Ron - not a big fan of them (and CBC). - docmorgan
I did . He was pretty well bang on . Kind of hard to call them national broadcasters and I wish they would just come out and call themselves Toronto broadcasters. |

I'm really not trying to be a homer here but its ridiculous that you have Van ranked above Chi. A team that has a core that have all won a cup together over Van?
Let's break this down line by line
Sedin/Sedin/Burrows vs the P.Sharp D.Bolland P.Kane line? I don't think so. We all know how much the Sedin's love to play against Dave Bolland
Higgins/Kesler/Hansen vs the B.Saad J.Toews M.Hossa line? Kesler is a great player, and he plays good against Toews, so they cancel each other out. That leaves Brandon Saad and Marian Hossa against Higgins and Hansen? riiiiiiight.
Kassian/Roy/Raymond vs Bickell Handzus Stalberg,
Weise/Lapierre/Pinizzotto vs Carcillo/Bollig Kruger Frolik
Bottom two lines kind of match up pretty decently.
And about the Hawks looking beatable lately, the Hawks have one four out of their last five and have points in their last five straight, and have given up five goals against in those five games. Pretty beatable, right?
- Hossa1881
Except that you only get Bolland against the Sedins in Chicago and the Canucks are 8-2-0 in their past 10, whereas the Hawks are 6-3-1.
I don't rank the Canucks above the Hawks, but the Hawks are definitely beatable. |
