I know it goes without saying but much of what could happen depends on injuries. Without Crosby the Pens are a totally different (and far less dangerous) team. LA were remarkably fortunate with injuries last season. As Boston were the year before, as Chicago were the year before... - AlexF
Totally agree. Staying healthy is a huge factor, same with getting a few bounces. There's definitely a good amount of luck involved. |

If I am the teams playing Pitt this year I am concentrating on hitting Crosby very hard to get rid of him. You double your chances of winning. |

No way Van ranks that high. They are a disaster as far as being a team and the goaltending is weaker than most teams who will make the play-offs. Chi can be beat, but probably won't. Pitt is the only team from the east that has a chance at the cup. Bos has no heart and Wash is a 1 man show without defense. Wild could make it through a round but ya better get used to hearing about them...... |

Pitt's had some bad luck with concussions. Letang, Malkin and Neal have all head injuries/concussions IIRC. |

Check your goalie stats before you make dumb comments .Schneider is top 5 in the league in many catagories. |

Literally accurate. Leave Fleury alone and let him do his sieve thing. |

yeah Gillis doesn't have an easy road ahead but Schneider looks good. Can't believe I had to defend him today against those turds in Barry's thread that were claiming Bernier was worth as much as Schneider. |

Fleury did win a cup before though, IMO like Luongo if he can have a good first few games in the playoffs he'll be fine. The guy definitely has the talent and ability to get the job done. |

Agreed. I wish there were less of it involved but it is what it is. Just don't want yet another team playing a "system" to take the Cup. LA's march had to be one of the most efficient and least memorable in recent memory (unless you're a Kings fan of course). |

Gillis does have a task ahead of him. Package Lu Edler

Lapierre used to do it in MTL all the time, but he's toned it down now. |

that seems a long time ago now. He is not the same guy now, every playoffs since then confirms that more and more. Last year he looked like an ECHL goalie. |

I'd like to see Roy and Raymond on a line together. Hopefully AV swaps him and Hansen. |

Haahaha that's blogger trolling right there. If they playoffs started right now with the current match-ups I'd say Toronto has a better chance of making it to round 2 than Vancouver. |

His regular season numbers have been pretty steady and solid the last 3 seasons. IMO the Flyers really just bring out the worst in the Pens. |
