Ryan's got 2 more years and would love to be in the area. - jstross
If that were the case with players Toronto would have about 25 more cups than it does. |

So imagine what G can do with a true goal scorer. Doesn't have to be Ryan, but a true goal scorer could be lethal with G and Voracek. - jstross
Will that make much of a difference though? Look at the state of our D.
I'd rather win 3-1 games than lose 6-5. |

I don't know what he'd sign for, I just want good players on the team. We could move him around in our bottom 6. I like that he plays almost 15 minutes. He will likely see close to that knowing all the penalties the Flyers take. How bout we compromise and let Feds go, give the money to Gordon and resign Hall too. Sound good? - Just5
If Gordon is playing on the 4th line here, he wouldn't get close to 15 minutes a game. Have to look at all the variables including salary history. No, it doesn't sound good at all. Having Gordon and Hall makes zero sense. |

He simply posted a forward lineup he'd like to see. Should he post his GM credentials along with it? - Just5
Well are we playing fantasy Hockey, or should there be some reality involved?

The Flyers D is decimated. Do we really know how it would do with a healthyd deep? Everyone was will to give up 4 1st round picks and about $8 million in cap inceases to land Weber. Surely there has to be a way to improve D just as much with giving up the same? |

Honestly?
Sorry, you post something along those lines you're begging for someone to ask you "how?"
With that logic you guys are going to get real tired of me saying we should keep the all top 8 forwards on the team but add Stamkos to the top line. - hereticpride
I'd like to see Malkin, Crosby, and Ovechkin also.

By drafting.
Not trading high round picks to land top line wingers without giving any good forwards or players in low depth positions away. |

What's the most you would trade for Bobby Ryan? - jstross

Ryan is attainable without parting with one of the Flyers NHL forwards. I'd almost guarantee Anaheim would take the 7th pick, next years 1st rounder and some prospects. I wouldn't do it, but it's doable.
I don't play fantasy hockey or any fantasy sports for that matter, but I did stay at a Holiday inn once. |

Fair enough for improving the D on a 4/5 year Horizon. |

So say that happens...
How do we possibly address the issue on D with having lost our number 1 D man and having the number 2 getting ready to retire in a year? All in a year where the crop of FA D men is horrible. |

|

So now Ryan is comparable to Malkin and Crosby? Seriously. Ryan can be obtained if the Flyers chose to, but it was just one name. I've listed what I think the team needs and it's very obtainable. |

Are you willing to give up 4 1st round picks and increasing the cap hit by $8 million that everyone was willing to do to get Weber? If so, there has to be a way. |

Time to ask some Q scouts about him. |

How long until draftees like Ristonainan, Pulock or Zadarov would make a meaningful impact for the Flyers? |

As it addresses by far the biggest issue on the team by adding arguably the best player at the position on a very young team?
Yeah, I'd be pretty ok with that. |

Yep. I know he was picked by the Jackets. Hockey's Future isn't high on him, but Elite Prospects had a good report on him. I'd like to see what the Q guys have to say.

According to the agency representing Petr Straka (Octogon), the #Flyers won out over 11 other #NHL teams in signing Straka.
Dustin Leed also tweeted that Todd Cordell LOVES Straka. |

Nice line. I'd like to see it with Hartnell over Read and Read(for now) on the 1st line. |
