If the Flyers buy out Briere and Bryzgalov, they will have a ton of cap space. I wouldn't go nuts on any of the current UFA goalies, so there wouldn't be $6mm committed to that position, unless they swing a deal or a Luongo gets bought out.

And I'd love Luongo on a 4 year deal for $5mm or so. He's a riot, could easily be a Pronger like interview, where Bryz comes off awkward or goofy

He might decide to go to Tampa, which is closer to his wife's family than Philly. Maybe the Caps intrigue him. Maybe Toronto. If Chicago doesn't win, maybe they'd go after him.

Certainly, Lu will not effected by the media. I like him as a goalie, wouldn't be opposed to sign him.

if they made it work #s wise, i'd be fine with Lu. Never have been a fan, but something tells me he just wouldn't get poop on the way Bryz does.

Where did I say that Ryan was comparable to Malkin and Crosby? I don't think it's reality for the Flyers to acquire Ryan without giving up one of their young forwards, or at least giving up somebody on the current team. And I'll add again that I don't feel that the team needs a 1st line forward.

What was the point of saying yeah and I'd like to have Crosby, Malkin and Ovechkin after talking about Ryan? Flyers could land Ryan pretty easily without trading a current forward. Price would be steep though in terms of picks. 2013 and 2014 first and Laughton and anaheim parts with Ryan with no problem. I wouldn't do it, but the 'reality' is he could be obtained without a Flyer NHL forward.
