i'm thinking the rags will lock him up. - isaiah520
You're probably right however the Rangers have Hagelin, Stepan, and McDonagh to sign this summer and a practical apocalypse the following summer with Callahan, Girardi, and Lundqvist as ufas and only 4 players signed as of now. |

The flyers had too many things go wrong to come back from in a shortened season. It's a shame since everyone was so amped for the season to start. They still have a lot of issue to address, but even with the same lineup I expect them to be much better next year.
I wouldn't mind a coaching change, but would also be fine with giving Lavi another year with a training camp, full season, and hopefully a healthy lineup to work with. |

I'd really love to see Bryz win a Cup in Philly, and then just flip the bird to all these guys in the media laughing at him.
Alright, I'm going to put the pipe down now, but that would be sweet. |

Homer says no major changes - vejim
Hahah right. Homer knows what needs to be done, but it's just a matter of if it cane be done at a reasonable cost. New coach, a puck moving Dman, another solid top 6 guy, win the lottery and draft one of the top 3..
On a related note, Nashville is now sitting 5 pts out of the playoffs (Det has 2 games in hand) and will most likley miss. How happy are the owners that they matched for Weber now? |

Carter: Hey Paul, I've been hearing rumors about me being traded.
Holmgren: And???
Carter: Well, I signed that 11-year deal hoping to stay in Philadelphia.
Holmgren: Don't worry, we're not trading you.
Carter: Thanks, that means a lot.
Holmgren: Now pack your bags, here's your ticket to Columbus. |

They'll have 13 million more unhappy reasons in early July. |

Apparently, it's a great spot to see games, and the fans are great, but I have to believe that not making the playoffs to have even 2 home playoff games is going to hurt them a lot. |

strange to say, but w/ the forwards that we'll have to part w/ to get a top dman, we'd likely be best off drafting the type of forward that could come in and play right away w/ our 1st pick...unless its jones. |

It is a great place for a game. The fans remind me a bit of Caps fans, without the but without the unwarranted sense of entitlement. And I really don't feel bad for Nashville having to pay him like they did; it was their fault for not locking up their franchise cornerstone and captain when they had the chance. |

For sure. didn't the owners have to dip in to their personal fortunes to pay Weber to begin with?

i'd put read back on line 1, move gagne to line 2, and put hartnell on line 3 - Don'tForgetTocchet
read was invisible against the islanders the other night after getting dropped down. hartnell was quite visible, but not in a good way. |

I'd like to see any member of the Flyers, Phillies, or Sixers do that (not so much the Eagles). |

Anyone else notice the parallels between the Sixers and Flyers?
1) Both will likely miss the playoffs and get high draft picks.
2) Both traded away young studs last summer: Vucevic for the Sixers, Bob for the Flyers.
3) Both will likely get new coaches this summer.
4) Both are likely to undergo major "rebuilds" this summer.

Yeah, I've only been to one game there, but it just felt like everything was fake and they were all sheep. Not to mention Flyers fans filled 50+% of their arena prior to 07/08. But the building was pretty quiet and no one seemed like they had any genuine interest in cheering unless they were given the signal and then followed it blily. |
