(frank) carter and richards. Seriously who the hell cares anymore. I have no problem with the return of Voracek Couturier, Cousins, Schenn, Simmonds and Grossmann (aquired with one of the picks) for frick and frack. I appreciate what they did when they were here but seriously who cares anymore - nastyflyergirl
they had no kopitar and brown to play behind here either. does anybody ever consider that when they are on that tired harangue? |

You should care, all that young talent and nothing to show for it. - puckhog
Do you see the oxymoron in that statement? They're young, they don't have to show for it yet. If all comes and goes and they end up not winning a cup, then yes; nothing to show for it. Until then, get a goddamn grip and wait a few years..... |

I can't imagine the media making this up, but I can see a scenario where a teammate sells out a guy he doesn't like.
I tend to side more with what Knuble said when he mentioned the meetings are too short for anyone to fall asleep and the whole thing was a misunderstanding. - johndewar
Just listing the two possibilities. Either way, its ridiculous. |

i'm glad he stood up to the nonsense as well, but he hasn't played well enuf for me. this is not the crazy 80's w/ goalies wearing almost half the padding. regardless of the quality of chances, which are not any better than ones in DAL or BUF, we can't run away from these #s which are substandard on their own, let alone in light of the contract.
there will be alternatives this off season. i don't think it's likely that LA or VAN will continue w/ their current tandems, for example. |

I cant believe the Flyers havent intervened yet.
Just look at his two years here, and what the media has done to this poor guy...
This year alone with the open mocking by that wienerhead Barkann and the pathetic weasel Ike laughing at him... now a false report about him sleeping through a team meeting?
After what went down with Richie and Carter.. youd think the org would have something to say... |

and you know this because you watch their games?
EDIT: so buy out Bryz and trade for a goalie? |

only giroux is in that category and he was a newer part of the core. kopitar and brown were established as the lead dogs in LA and comfortable in those roles. harangue away. |

yes. he's been a disappointment
but i do think since he got here he's been treated pretty unfairly in a lot of ways. i was wary about bringing him in, but always hoped he would succeed. it just seems that alot of fans/media salivate at any opportunity to rip him. |

I get so frustrated with the whining. Its like all of the people who wanted JRV gone when he didn't come out of college after 1 year, then wanted him gone again when he didn't develop as fast as one would hope....are now the same people whining about JVR being traded. just makes me crazy. - nastyflyergirl
You go girl...
I agree, if you want a youth movement that so many people have said they want...it's going to take time. Last year was a good run but winning hides the problems. when they started to lose, the holes were exposed and they still haven't been fixed. |

I actually thought Tim's views of the whole thing, as I read them here, was perhaps the most reasonable take on the subject. The whole thing is probably a silly misunderstanding, perhaps exaggerated for effect by a player who clearly doesn't like Bryz. |

well I guess they only have to give up a 4th rounder for Gagne now. I wish they would have moved Fedotenko and Gagne for picks at the deadline. but as it stands they do have their first 3 picks. - nastyflyergirl
i like having both of them back. good vet presence. responsible defensively, and can chip in goals. |

Honestly, I don't care
Voracek - 40 GP 17-22-39
Carter - 41 GP 24-5-29
Richards 40 GP 10-18-28
Simmonds - 37 GP 12-13-25
Schenn - 39 GP 7-15-22
Couturier - 38 GP 3-9-12 - nastyflyergirl

who knows if gillis is forced to buy out Lu? stick w/ bryz then...that's a real
it's a bad contract that he hasn't played up to....and i'll rely on Bill, who said the same thing watching DAL gms at the very least. |
