You go girl...
I agree, if you want a youth movement that so many people have said they want...it's going to take time. Last year was a good run but winning hides the problems. when they started to lose, the holes were exposed and they still haven't been fixed. - phi1671
So then the whole point was? |

I cant believe the Flyers havent intervened yet.
Just look at his two years here, and what the media has done to this poor guy...
This year alone with the open mocking by that wienerhead Barkann and the pathetic weasel Ike laughing at him... now a false report about him sleeping through a team meeting?
After what went down with Richie and Carter.. youd think the org would have something to say... - jak521
It would look bad if the Flyers intervened at this point.

I get so frustrated with the whining. Its like all of the people who wanted JRV gone when he didn't come out of college after 1 year, then wanted him gone again when he didn't develop as fast as one would hope....are now the same people whining about JVR being traded. just makes me crazy. - nastyflyergirl
i know. i've done a good job of being emotionally detached this year. just like the team. |

Off topic but man, I don't like watching Rosehill on the bench. He must have been punched a lot, he's got some serious facial ticks. |

yes. he's been a disappointment
but i do think since he got here he's been treated pretty unfairly in a lot of ways. i was wary about bringing him in, but always hoped he would succeed. it just seems that alot of fans/media salivate at any opportunity to rip him. - Crimsoninja
i hear you on that score, but i'm simply referring to what occurs on ice. |

Maybe, but it could also show the players that the org has their back.
Since day one Bryz hasnt had a fair shake. I knew it wouldnt be easy for the guy.. and it hasnt been. If the org addressed some of the issues with the beat guys we may not have some of these problems.
There was also a report of Giroux supposedly verbally sparring with a beat guy. Dont know who it was or what is was about... |

Well.. he's certainly not getting goal support and that's barely talked about on here. Instead, it's "All Bryz, All the time. BryzYW... BryzRadio... 1060..." |

who knows if gillis is forced to buy out Lu? stick w/ bryz then...that's a real
it's a bad contract that he hasn't played up to....and i'll rely on Bill, who said the same thing watching DAL gms at the very least. - isaiah520
trust me.. I agree with that to an extent.
My ideal scenario?
Bury this season. If Bryz played this way last year we wouldnt even be talking about him right now. Instead he has a bad year last year.. the team sucks this year, and were buying him out.
Nope, stick with him for one more season, work on fixing the team in front of him, because as of now.. and the way they are playing as a team, you could trade for Lundqvist and it wouldnt matter. If they fix the team, and the team picks up the slack next season, yet Bryz still struggles, buy him out next offseason. |

you know what i don't like about that clip? his head was down and looking at the puck almost the entire play. he only avoided the last defender before scoring because he went for the puck and not the hit. he could have, and probably should have, been plastered between the circles.

only giroux is in that category and he was a newer part of the core. kopitar and brown were established as the lead dogs in LA and comfortable in those roles. harangue away. - isaiah520
Whatever makes you feel batter about it, its cool. Not saying LA doesnt have a good team already but dismissing the talent Carter and Richards had here is pretty stupid. |

Was happy for him, he seemed to be a guy happy to get a goal with his new teammates. Didn't look like he cared if he'd actually scored or not, just happy to celebrate with Couts. |

What are they going to do? What happened with Carter and Richards didn't originate with the beat guys. They blew up on TMZ with all the photos and the beat guys did what they have too.
I have a bit more understandings for the beat guys until they're @$$holes then I'm ready to destroy them. |

I actually thought Tim's views of the whole thing, as I read them here, was perhaps the most reasonable take on the subject. The whole thing is probably a silly misunderstanding, perhaps exaggerated for effect by a player who clearly doesn't like Bryz. - johndewar

Last week i posted that. We had 22 games where we scored 2 or fewer goals. Maybe thats why people love Mason so much.. his above average puck handling means he can shoot from his own goal line... he could score goalz! |

Exactly, jak. I posted a few games back that the Flyers had scored 3 or more goals just 9 times compared to 20 or so with 2 or less. |

if anything, this is the single most bothersome issue from the fans and the media this year, as if the flyers are where they are primarly and perhaps solely because of bryz. the scrutiny he receives is crazy, and he really has said very little or even done very little to create any kind of controversy this year. people are literally looking for ANYTHING they can to blame him and want him gone. I just done understand it.
he's been their most consistent player, a workhorse, and given them a chance to win in most of the games. the fact this team can't score for poop, is horrendous at ES, and even worse defensively as a group I guess is irrelevant. it's all bryz's fault. he sucks. |
