isles are the hottest team in the east right now, they're fighting for a playoff spot, and marchand just got hurt. i'd rather get the 4th seed as the 7th seed is usually coming in hot. give me dollar phil and an unproven goalie or snakebit sens in the first round. that 2nd seed last year was no bueno. |

6-3-1 in the last 10, not playing as well as they can, no Bergy for half that ... wouldn't say the sky is falling exactly. Plenty of room for improvement before playoffs ... if they're stilling playing like garbage and start losing in the PO's ... then I'll worry. |

Ty, Thank you for this blog. Will it change anything? Probably not but the fan base/98.5 has been awful this year. Gunna have a two or four seed and everyone is acting like they are the worst team in Boston..... A lot of games in short time, they can't possibly go at 100% every night and expect to have anything left come playoff time.
They will be hard to beat in a 7 game series |

not if they don't start putting some pucks in the net, Rask and Khudobin can't do that for them. |

10th overall in G/G isn't exactly cause for concern, particularly when the team is 2nd in GA/G
Not to mention 5th overall in 5on5 GF/GA which becomes a real important indicator in the playoffs. |

I guess it's just more frustrating cause they can't seem to put it together when it matters right now. They should have beat Montreal in the 6-5 game, shouldn't have lost to Philthy, blowing leads in the third period. It's just been frustrating as hell to watch and I wouldn't have guessed those numbers from the way they've been playing lately. We've played Montreal a few times now with first place on the line and failed each time. |

If the Bruins signed him before the season, he would have been able to play for the Bruins right now.
But that's how the rules are. They didn't "block" anything. - Pecafan Fan

POP!
Block seems to fit, he wanted to come here, they stopped it. This is funnier than waiting to see if JD Drew is ready to come off the dl
And I'm glad Ty is so comfortable with the D, quader looked awful last night, redden can't get on the ice, ferrance doesn't look like he's playing for a contract. The d worries me, and that was before we lost our best defensive forward and the top scoring forward. |

We've seen this before though. I'm just saying, the finish to the 2010-11 regular season was much more concerning than this is. The only thing I truly worry about is the health of Ference/McQuaid for an entire playoff run. |

Jesus Christ, it's a word and you're trying to suggest that there's some pro-Boston spin on it. Does grasping at straws ever get tiresome? It seems exhausting. Ty Anderson
Was not the title of this : Please Remain Calm?
All the SHF did was what they had a right to do. Boston did not "lose" anything because legally, they had nothing in the first place.
But I do not wish to see the Lord's ( If he is not yours, that's cool, no business of mine, but I wish you would rethink using anyone's religion in anger.) name taken in vain or feel pressure to use swear words, then delete them.
Ty, I have never used the F word in any of my posts. Thank you for deleting yours.
please.

In truth I hope you get him. Any Vancouver fan knows the value of a Swede! |

It was "blocked" because of the current rules in place between the NHL and the SIHF. They didn't just decide that player "X" isn't going to North America for whatever reason.
it's your GM's job to know these things. - Pecafan Fan
Actually that is exactly what SIHF did, because they know that after they file the refusal the IIHF makes the final decision. And within the "current rules" of IIHF there are 4 criteria for IIHF refusal and none of them apply to Soderberg. The wording from the SIHF was that they made the decision based on "principle", they didn't cite any rules whatsoever.
The Bruins could not have done anything different. They didn't sign him in the past because he wanted to stay in Sweden, and then they couldn't sign him this year because he had to finish his SEL season. Once the season was over they had to buy out his contract to follow the IIHF rules.
Edit: The SIHF also knew Soderberg was not going to play in the WC, as evidenced by him not even being on the roster put out the day before the decision they made. So they used their right to refuse for absolutely no reason. |

This is the problem, all season long they;ve been coughing up 3rd period leads, they lack a killer instinct, and seem comfortable cruising with a lead. If jsut one of those 3rd period leads werent blown, we'd be ahead of montreal right now. IT not like they suck, but it seems if the golaie makes one mistake it costs them the game.
Maybe not a time to panic, but its definitely time for concern.

I won't get too worked up over how the team as a whole is playing right now. Without Marchand and especially Bergeron in the lineup they just aren't the same team, I can't expect the them to win every game.
Lucic has been terrible, but I've hated his game for 2 years now so it is no surprise that when he can't score people realize how bad he really is. There is nothing different about the way he is playing compared to last year except that the puck isn't going in, IMO. |

he hasn't been bringing that physical edge to his game this year is what I'm noticing, and when he doesn't do that, the puck doesn't go in for him. |

I am very respectful of Ty. I just state opinions. These 'rooms' are for discussion. Just follow the COC and have fun. Besides, I only come in this `room` very occasionally. I think this is twice this season, once for Iginla and now. I must be in your head if your think I come in more than that.
I thought I was being nice.
Anyways, please remain calm.
And cheer up, you should clinch a spot this weekend! |

I think you are on step 1 of realizing you are a troll :
1.Denial — "I feel fine."; "This can't be happening, not to me."
2.Anger — "It's not fair!"; "How can this happen to me?"; '"Who is to blame?"
3.Bargaining — "I'll do anything
4.Depression — "I'm so sad, why bother with anything?"; "
5.Acceptance — "It's going to be okay."; "I can't fight it, so prepare for it." |

Just in time for the Pens game next week. I imagine he will not play until Wed against Buffalo. That gives him 4 days to get to Boston and acclimated with the team |
