I dont know if this game ends up going 0-0 into a shootout that it will be look at a solid defensive contest, or offensive failure.

Would kind of like to see Mason in one.

Mason is not playing like a number 1, he's playing like a guy who lost his job in Columbus and is trying to re-prove himself in Philly. He's played 1.5 games so far. People won't take you serious when your bias bleeds through your posts.....

He's looked decent so far. Let's see him play 35+ games behind a non-existent defense and see if Bryz still hears the sounds of a compliance buyout.

Either way you slice it, you can take it to the bank that Bryz will be the goalie on opening night for the 2013-2014 season.

I guess if the Flyers want to miss the playoffs again, hell with it.

Ryan Miller looked like he was sleeping on the Sabres bench. Where's the scandal??

If I was forced to watch this game up close and in person I'd be sleeping too!

At least so far, Mason seems very composed in his crease, not jumping around.

No offense, not trolling, watching this game, I can see why neither team is making the playoffs. They both look miserable. Cant event string a couple passes together and its not because of good defense. Both teams look incredibly out of sync.

He will be with this team next season and starting the 1st game, but i'd be willing to bet that a month into the season he's splitting starts with Mason because he's gonna be getting outplayed or has just been pedestrian.

Yes, it's clear that the Flyers are missing the playoffs this season due to Bryz. By the way, do you get your hockey acumen from WIP or The Fanatic?

I think that when the team plays cohesive defense in front of him, you see Bryz able to manage the hockey game and go on streak or two. He may not be worth his cap hit, but the Flyers are hurting for some consistency back there. Buying out Bryz this summer and going into the off-season with Mason @ 1 year and a FA pickup isn't exactly screaming confidence.

Because they both don't care anymore and it's a bunch of kids on both teams who belong in the AHL...just trying to finish out the season

Both teams look like the only reason they are here today is because the NHL is forcing them to play. They look like they'd rather be anywhere else than here.

Kinda looks to me like both teams are playing not to win, although there have been instances where the spirit of competition has taken over.

Pretty sad excuse for a hockey game.

If the nucks buyout luongo I'd feel alright if the flyers scooped him up and amnestied bryzgalov.

He does for sure. Quick as hell, but those rebounds need to be worked on. Puck handling is a big plus.

Im trying to have minimal expectations with him. Players get on hot streaks. Coots against Malkin, and Schenn had his hot streak this season.

I think this organization gets a little too excited with its young players too soon at times as well.

If somehow he gets into a fight this season 50% of the fanbase will be screaming for him to take over as #1.

I don't see how you sign Mason to a 1-year deal and buyout Bryz that summer. There is no stability with that move. Mason lost his job to Bob and has has "fallen from grace" since his Calder year. It makes much more sense that they buyout Briere (if anyone), and let 2013-2014 prove as tryout for both Bryz and Mason to be the franchise goalie.
