kids like schenn often show promise in fits and starts. patience. - isaiah520
I'm just saying that in general, prospects with as much hype such as gags, richie, carts and roo showed much more in smaller samplings. I just think this kid was way overvalued, hopefully I'm proven wrong. |

Wonderful shift by Hartnell at the end there.
Puck is in a scrum around the front of the net, and he stands there doing absolutely nothing. |

Im with you in the same boat.
The thought that Schenn might not develop as thought, understandably makes some panic. |

Do any of you think that a top 5 pick + a player like say Matt Read will get us a top Dman? if so wouldn't you rather have that instead of trading a player like Couturier for one? |

My two main candidates for trades this off-season would be Hartnell and Coburn. I'd lead with Hartnell for Giordano, as part of a larger package of course. Forgive me for coming up with things, instead of contributing nothing new just criticizing ideas.
Coaching is an issue with this team yes.
Edit: Mason showing why he shouldnt be strictly the #1. - flyer_nutter
Leading with Hartnell for Giordano isn't likely to get a conversation started. The Flames are going to want youth. Mason played well today.

Enroth had his ass towards the shooter - Yosimar89
it happened about 6 times this game. a mob in front. enroth not being able to see virtually anything, a loose puck, and not once could they get a stick on it.
this team gets worse by the (frank)ing day. |

Its comical at this point.
The only thing here is, what happens if all this "potential" and bright future doesnt turn out as thought? All of them magically dont play better under a new coach?
The thought that the crew on the ice might not actually be that good...
Optimism is one thing, but I could see this thing take a few years to rebuild. People dont want to hear it, but I could see it happening.

This is setting up for the Flyers to some how get the first overall pick and they take Jones.
Then Jones turns out to be the next Alexander Daigle but in dman form.

a top flight d-man would undoubtedly be a huge help, but i don't think the flyers should be trading young players and picks. maybe a forward for a similar aged or younger d man, but that's it. i'm not packaging young assets for anyone (anyone that realistically could be available) |
