He is a RFA, so maybe it will be fairly reasonable.
Still due for a nice raise. |

I commented on that before, he is making himself so much bigger in the net now I had no idea he was 6'2...pretty impressive to see him improve his game so much.

That's the phrase I used too- scrunched up into a ball. Who's the Jacket's goalie coach? |

it's basically the same top 5 we have... |

zero goals against a hapless Sabers team and the Flyers don't need offense. Yep. 5 on 5 this team is an offensive juggernaut. Night. |

Sabres and Flyers are so bad the game had to be decided by the end boards.

And adding Bobby Ryan would change the Flyers 5 on 5 struggles? Look at why the Flyers are struggling to score, and dig deeper.

People female dog about JVR from the moments he didn't sign after his rookie season and now birch that he was traded. People female dog about giving up on Bob and moving . But yet people want to rip a 20 yr old who was misused by his coach all season. They would be the same people moaning if couturier was moved and blossomed elsewhere |

The way the Flyers are playing right now, I can easily see them slipping behind Carolina and one of Calgary/Colorado too. This would leave them 3rd from the bottom and guaranteeing that they would pick 1st, 3rd or 4th.
Now as long as they don't trade the pick..... |

FWIW My top 10 for this year's draft
1. Seth Jones
2. Nathan MacKinnon
You could easily flip these 2, but from a Flyers perspective, Jones would be #1
3. Alexander Barkov
4. Jonathan Drouin
Yes I know Drouin is a human highlight reel and his skills are off the charts, but Barkov is the total package and I believe his game is complete enough to step in immediately. I also have seen multiple clips of Drouin flying thru the neutral zone with his head down, and at the NHL level that could lead to trouble.
5. Valery Nichushkin
I've only seen him play in the World Juniors, but he was dominant and appears to have as much pure talent as anyone in this draft
6. Sean Monahan
Kid could become the next Ron Francis, however he could also become the next Mike Ricci
7. Darnell Nurse
You got to admit, having Donovan McNabb's nephew play in Philly would be interesting to say the least.
8. Elias Lindholm
9. Rasmus Ristolainen
10. Max Domi
Lindholm has good, safe pick written all over him while Ristolainen according to all scouting reports I have seen looks like he will be a solid top 4, possible top 2 defenseman for a long time. Domi has been flying up all scouting lists and could be the sleeper of this draft. |

Here is a question, wellwood is a RFA. He is most likely out 9-12 months. Now I would assume the flyers would qualify him and he would make his AHL salary next season but what are the flyers obligations?

To keep him, you have to qualify him and I'm not sure if they can still offer him a 2 way deal. However, it won't effect the cap at all since he is under 35 and will most likely be on LTIR the entire season. |

I was one who thought the flyers should keep Bob and sign a backup, a bit risky possibly but so was handing out a huge fat contract to Bryz. |
