You also don't reach just to fill a need.

If their board has 4 forwards a head of the a dman I don't jump that up just to "fill" a need.

MacKinnon is a 1st overall pick. You won't be able to pick him (hopefully).

Seth Jones is the best d-man in this class and he'll be taken 2nd.

I'm counting on the Flyers picking 5th or something like that nature.

MacKinnon might go 1st, he might also go 3rd. If the Flyers end up at 5th overall, the best player on the board might not be a defenseman.

A lot depends on who ends up picking 1st overall. If Colorado picks first, I could see them grabbing Jones.

It depends on how far down they move but I wouldn't go more than maybe 2 spots.

They could get an experienced d-man + the pick I guess. I'd try to get Giordano from Calgary. They are starting a rebuild and he'd fit right in in your blue line.

he's very important to us, seriously. We don't want to depend on Niskanen as a top pairing (he's an awessome 5th d-man and that's about it).

Our best d-man this year has been Martin but he's hurt. Letang a close second.

I'd wonder how many scouts like Rasmus Ristolainen over Darnell Nurse.

LA built from the goal out and won a cup they went through many periods where they had trouble scoring but in the end.... acquiring scoring for them was easy
