Hypothetical situation. Say Vanek, Miller, Stafford are dealt and Leino is bought out. Now let's say that the new coach doesn't name Ott captain (for obvious reasons), who gets the "C" then? Hodgeson? Erhoff?

Nice reference and one I have used before to describe Vanek. Kerr was very underrated, the dude had 4 fifty goals seasons!

Not to mention he had a fabulous lip jacket.

I think a great many players 'play' is exaggerated. Its a team game. When a team is in sync it is very tough to beat them. That being said, having very talented players can make up for not being in sync.
