Ok. Back to hockey. There's no way we keep sanity here even with that. But at least it's unimportant insanity.

Seeing him against some playoffs teams also would help it's hard to get a good feel for him against teams like the Sabres

I hope Mason has a great game and we beat the Rangers, but I also want the Rangers to get the 8 seed, Henrik to turn into a wall, and they send the Pens home crying. That would be awesome, and certainly a fun series to watch.

Nope, you're right. But with 4 games this week, Mason should get some time in net, likely starting tomorrow.

It would make a certain amount of sense to shut Bryz down, cause it's not like he hasn't already played a boatload of games...

It would be a fun series, but I really could give a crap once the Flyers are done. At that point I root for every series to go to 7 games with multiple OTs and tons of excitement.

Looks like Winnipeg, unless they win a few and we help with a win tomorrow night against the Rags.

I'm pretty happy with this year's top 8. Obviously I want the Flyers in there near the top, but since that isn't happening, I'm glad the Isles are making an appearance, and I've always liked Montreal, and I even begrudgingly tip my hat to Toronto for breaking that long ass drought.

I'm so tired of hearing about Bobrovsky. He had so many chances to take over and he never could. He's playing great this year. Maybe he'll be a great goalie. I don't know, but they didn't get rid of him because Laviolette didn't play him in the playoffs. Holmgren traded him because he didn't think he was good enough to be the starter and he was going to cost too much to be a backup.

Seems to me Couturier just didn't play well enough to play on a top line. He's a young kid who had a down year. So Lavy gets no credit for Coot's good rookie season, but all the blame for this season?

Agreed. We need to move on. Quite harping on our bad past dealings while ignoring the good ones.

Not really about the Bobrovsky trade, rather the coach's mishandling of two young players and concerns about that coach remaining in place for the future.

Yup. It's over and done with. But that doesn't mean Lavi can't screw the pooch again if given a chance.

I really didn't think today was a ringing endorsement by Homer towards Lava. In reality, what else could he say at this point of the season? If he had these comments a couple of days after the season, then I would be concerned. If they continue to go meekly into the offseason, changes have to be made.

What perplexes me, is what happenst to Terry Murray. He will be 63 in the summer, I can't see him signing up for another tour of duty in the AHL. I think he gets moved up in some capacity with the big club.

CSN's Sarah Baicker asked him point blank
Sarah Baicker ‏@sbaickerCSN 6h
Does Paul Holmgren expect Peter Laviolette to return as coach next season? "Yeah. I'll say that, sure," he answered. #FlyersTalk

Do I think he can change his mind? Ask Jeff Carter.
