Leafs didn't have Lupus, imagine how it will end once he is back. 7-0 Leafs would be a good game for the habs, no way they can resist to that much firepower.

after 4 games it's 15-7 for the Leafs against the midgets

- Symba007

and yet does this freakish game of 4 goals on 5 shots really tell the story, i mean the first game was tight 2-1 than it was 6-0 Leafs than it was 5-2 Habs and now we have a goalie meltdown type game....to me this doesnt really tell you how a series would go other than, likely to 7 games

You're basically that depth does not matter in the playoffs. The Bruins won the Cup 2 years ago because their 3rd line was better than the Habs' 2nd. Depth saves you in the playoffs because you have more options if a line sucks.

Im quite sure Reimer is the key to any playoffs matchup.

Might be easy to figure him out in a 7 games series.

You add it all up, it's 50/50.

But man would it be fun to watch.

There should be no regular season and teams only have 1 line since that is all that matters.

Of course it does. I just said that no matter how many guys put up 40 points or 20 goals in the regular season...nothing is guaranteed in the playoffs. Obviously deeper teams have a greater chance. Espcially depth at the back end and a certain 7 footer on skates.

From now on, please refer to Frazer McLaren as "Gargamel."

Actually, from you, it's "Mr. Gargamel, sir."

Aside from the '09 Pens who had 2 of the best players in the world all the most recent Champions credited great depth as a reason why they won.

What this tells me is that Price just doesn't seem to be able to play consistently...it's Saturday night...it's the Leafs...and you come out with that stinker? WTF is wrong with him?

You play Florida, you play Columbus (well, not this year)...you play another run of the mill team and I can let go of a stinker like that...but for (frank)'s sake...THE LEAFS of all teams!

I don't mind Price, I'm not a Price lover, nor a hater...I'd love to be able to love him. But in a 7 game series, you can't afford to have 2 bad games...and it seems that Price is prone to having bad games every so often. Until that changes, I don't know how much praise we can heap on him when he has a good/great game, as we (at least I) know that a stinker isn't too far off...

But wouldn't you agree that a team that has great depth during the season has an advantage entering the playoffs over a team fueled on only one line?

Oh, so now depth doesn't matter? How about the Bruins in '10-'11?
