normally yes but you can play less and still win the Vezina trophy...like Thomas did a couple of times...or if you want to stay in the habs, Roy won it also a couple of playing less then 60 games...heck even less then 50 games! Price only played 2 season north of 60...especially in a short season with lots of injuries and teams with little patience, will change their goalies or use a 2 goalie system effectively like Chicago for instance...Heck, that's what saved Ottawa with 3 goalies cause of Anderson's injury...
