The Debs just plain out work the Flyers, they skate harder and battle harder along the walls. Pretty simple. - ravishingone
I don't know that it's simply working harder. It's a combination of working smarter, too. You could work hard with an old push mower mowing a 7-acre lot, but the guy using the ride-on is working less hard but getting it done. |

It wouldn't be, because you have Mason on hand. You just get a time splitter. Short term deal, and if Mason can get back to his rookie year levels and sustain it, then you have your guy and Stolarz and whomever else in the wings down the road - Jsaquella

Really it is inexcusable. However, it is the reality. |

That last sentence would be really funny if you flipped the words ride and hard.

Didn't really deserve to win the last game, but Mason was a great mistake eraser.

Happened the last time these two teams played in Philly when the Flyers won in the shootout. |

I just remember that time a goalie I can't remember his name, got his neck sliced open, blood everywhere, thankfully he lived but the scene was morbid. I'd rather we keep the game of hockey and use sticks to score goals. |

It's a minor quibble. I don't care that much, but it's nice to debate something civilly and rationally, eh?

I think they could buy him out and then land a guy. They should just get a time splitter if they think Mason is fixable. - Jsaquella
They see more of Mason on a day-to-day basis than we do, but I'd need a bigger sample size before I'd say, "yeah, we can work with this".
But it's possible, sure. I think we're gonna see a Bryz/Mason tandem next year anyway. Seems like it might be the plan, with them giving Mason the one year deal...get that look-see they need.

the Flyers turned it over coming out of their zone at their own blue line countless times. At least the Debs show you, a team doesn't need a true #1 d-man to be an effective defensive team and forecheck. |
