Who's blaming Bryz? I'd just like to see a save on a breakaway every once in a while. - feelingkettle

Every single one, that blames Bryz, is an idiot and should be examined.. - Ondrej F
I'm not blaming Bryz. I'm really not. He didn't cost them this game or this season.
Would it kill him, though, to make a save on a breakaway? |

All I'm asking is for everyone to do their job. The goalies to stop the shots, and the guys in front of him to not play like poop. You know as soon as there's a breakaway, Bryz might as well skate to the bench and give the guy an empty net. Again, the loss is not on him. I just can't give him a pass anymore on goals like that, even though he's carried this team for a while this season.
I'd expect that poop from Boosh or Leighton, but not from Bryz. Although at this point, I do expect it. - feelingkettle
Ive lurked this week.
The one thing that interested me. A young kid that came from a poophole, and played like that himself (In columbus) had a lot of people cheering really hard for him.
Harder than Bryzgalov.
To me anyway, even if he doesnt pull it off, Mason has been at least a breath of fresh air. The puckhandling in particular.
He might look like a 14 year old back lane tranny, but I am cheering for Pip. |

I'm more bothered by the complete inability to compete than the actual loss. That's what I wanted in a strong finish, I wanted to see fire and competitive play.
The sad thing is, I don't think they were outworked. They just played really dumb and wasted a lot of energy spinning their wheels - Jsaquella
The couple of opportunities they did have....Read, Jake on a couple of occasions....they completely out thought themselves. |

Well said. Seeing what happens with Mason is more exciting than watching Bryz. I don't know what will happen this summer with the goalies if anything, but I am more interested in watching Mason at this point. |

Or put the puck into Brodeur's gut. He got tested, maybe two times. |

I really like watching Oliver, even if I dont have high expectations.
Dont know why but he reminds me of a mean teletubie. Large but kind of weird. He has a mean streak, but the man cant fight to save his life.
Lenny is still on the team, and I have to admit I kind of chuckled when he went into the glass tonight. |

Nah, I don't get that pissed, or it doesn't last that long. I rarely carry the frustration for long.
It's entertainment for me. I'm not letting a Flyers loss or non playoff year ruining my good time.
I'm gearing up for some events we have coming over the next few weeks, and for Memorial day I will avoid the tourists that flock here like flies on poop.
Been back to work, so I'm not as onery as I had been....things are good. |

it's insane how many times this year they've passed up a good scoring chance to make an ill advised pass. |

Bryz hasn't been the probelm and I don't want the team to tank. However, winning games at this point is meaningless.
Rest Timo if they have the bodies.
Pull Briere(it's a business, need his buyout).
Play Mason.
Bring up McGlinn for Briere.

Fully admit to rooting for Lauridsen to do well.
He plays like he REALLY cares, which is what you want to see.
And no, he can't fight, but if any franchise could help him correct that, I would hope it's this one, considering the organ-EYE-zation never met a former fighter that they didn't want to keep on the payroll after they retired.

Jake can REALLY dish the puck, but man, it would be glorious just to watch him get greedy and be a pure goal scorer. He could totally pull that off if he wanted. |

You know, as much as I would like to see them improve the blueline, which I still would...
I would be okay if they made some subtractions and let some of these kids have a real shot. They have grown on me. I think there was a quote somewhere when reported asked Lava about the rag tag defense. He said "I dont think they would like to be called that".
They stepped into a poophole, and imho provided some real nice stability, and energy for a team that was lacking it.

I think this was a very nice statement game near the end of the seaso. They were thought to have righted the ship, corrected bad habits etc. etc. And they played a team that has lost 10 games and is without their main scorer. And they lost in their own building in exactly the same way they did in the playoffs last year. Absolutely non-competitive no-answers kind of lost, and really the score should have been 5-0. In other words, the coach has no clue how to handle the same strategy of a div opponent after 12 months. Its not like NJ is an elite team in this league. Other teams are doing quite ok against them. |

Gionta would agree. (I think that's who got that pass from Jake on the PP right in front of Bryz...yikes.)
But yes, the Flyers in general need to shoot more rather than looking for the perfect pass. Read's play is the poster child for the needed change. I'm guessing he's lacking a little confidence right now because he (Read) hasn't been playing great since his injury. |

Meh. I can't blame the coach for 8 giveaways, a poopload of bad passes, looking for the perfect pass instead of taking a shot, or only getting 7 shots in each of the second and third periods. |
