Terrible day for Philly sports. Flyers lose. Phillies lose. Collins leave the Sixers. Eagles' schedule released, confirming that Birds do indeed need to play 16 games this year. |

Meh. I can't blame the coach for 8 giveaways, a poopload of bad passes, looking for the perfect pass instead of taking a shot, or only getting 7 shots in each of the second and third periods. - wolfhounds
They got outworked along the boards, could not handle the Debs forecheck, could not get any sustained pressure in the offensive zone. It was a carbon copy of games 2-5 from last year. They just cannot handle the swarming pressure style game Debs play. Absolutely cannot handle it. |

Here's the thing....it's no secret what the Devils are doing. Even when the rest of the league has taken a huge dump on the Devils and they are missing their very best forward, why can't this team take advantage?
Instead, this game looks like every other game against the Devils. You can't trade 22 guys. |

I have no problem getting rid of Lavi. I just can't drop this loss on him. Could be the Devils are in the Flyers heads. Who knows. |

My thing with Lavi is....if they WERE gonna fire him, they should have done it way earlier.
At this point, I just as soon write this year off and start over next year with a full camp. It's not like the GM did him any favors this year. And Lavi didn't do himself any favors this year.
So. Slow. To. Adjust.
We are a strong enough fan base to endure one of these. |

They're not in their heads. They just have better goaltending than the Flyers which is why we haven't been able to beat either NJ or the Rangers for the last two years. That corresponds directly with Bryz getting here not the coaching. Brodeur and Lundquist don't let in softies and you can't beat good goalies if you're goaltender does. Is it any surprise that they lost tonight after beating NY the other night? The only difference was who was in net but everyone wants to blame Lavi or Briere or Couturier while defending the goalie. NJ isn't even good but Bryz will cure any teams issues. Wake up and get behing getting rid of this clown. |

Might have something to do with the fact the other night the flyers tested the other goalie and scored a few goals, while last night night they had their heads up their asses. But yup the goalie.... |

Hypocritical. Maybe.
Crazy.
Always.
Wont lie, I kind of missed talking hockey with some of you freaks. For those who were the reasons I left, I plan on stepping over your oozing BS and never looking back.

Lavi just can't make adjustments. He's got one system and one speed. If he worked for the Adjustment Bureau he'd have been fired on his first day.

Re:Hall
I'm all for keeping him too. But with Rosehill getting signed, Talbot coming back and Laughton coming up doesn't that pretty much guarantee there wont be much room on the depth charts for Gagne? I know Rosehill wont be dressing every game but it does create a little bit of a logjam. And to be honest I'd rather bring back Rusty than Gagne at this point. WE have a pretty good PK. We should probably try to keep as many of those guys as we can. |

i ahve been a bryz supporter, but i think i may be turning...it started with the ducking and last night down by 1 goal, bryz needed to make a huge save on that turnover thru the five hole..ive all but lost his confidence making the big save, i finally have realized he is useless on 1 on 1's an shootouts and break aways, a guy who gets that much money needs to stop a turnover or break away every now and then, he just is not that guy |

im right on board with this until you start talking about the big save. Bryzgalov made several of those through the game. Eventually the damn breaks if the team sits on its laurels and allows free reign of their zone by the opposition. It's no different than watching a win streak suddenly go sour at the roulette table, the odds work against you. How bout the team go out and get some goals for crying out loud.
That being said if Bryz gets bought out, I think and hope Mason will be fine however, the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Yes the cap is probably forcing this issue regardless. |

I believe these are the type of comments that Jsaq is referring to when he mentions how they reflect on a lack of endowment. |
