On a side note, Gagne would be a solid bring-back player for next year at the right price. He's shown he's still got the legs and can still play an excellent two-way game. - Flyers_V88
For sure, Since back in Philly he's starting to look more like his old self. Heck they brought him back for 3rd line duties and he's already playing with G & Voracek on the top line. At this point I think 2- 2.5 would be a steal bringing him back. |

We need these guys in the lineup so that they piss off the opposition enough to take cheap shots at our stars.

This certainly answers the question, "Why do the Flyers have so many injuries this season?" |

who do you think will be bought out throughout the NHL this offseason?
I would think ballard and booth in Vancouver...
any other potentials out there?

Wouldn't shock me. Just hasn't lived up to the money. SO glad the Flyers didn't re-sign him to that price |

Yeah, that contract was ridiculous.
Maybe Garrison in Vancouver? Hasn't been bad, but hasn't continued with last year's #s. He and Boyle are the 2 that seem to make the most sense.
Maybe Hamhuis too. |

Will Elias and Brodeur ever retire?
I'm sick and tired of watching these guys. |

from what i remember, the Flyers had offered him 3 mil...would not have been a bad cap hit, but knowing what we know now, obviusly was a good deal...
Vancouver is absolutely screwed next year man...they have waaaaaaaaaaay to much money tied up with only a a dozen players.

Like the article says, it most likely will come down to money and Gagne's willingness to accept making less of it. |

Filling the roster spots, it's his job as GM.

Sorry to be a wet blanket, but these wins are hurting our draft position. I would love to see a blog from Bill listing the most likely amnesty buyout players on each team and the impact to the UFA market. It would seem to hold UFA prices down since the market has more players. |

Wait Rinaldo at 750k and Rosehill at 675k?
Leave it to Panotch to (frank) things up.
Still good deals for both |

no reason to give rosebud 2yrs. he should have to prove his worth every yr. |

Agree with this. Rosehill has little leverage so why give him two years? I'd prefer they give a new kid a chance each year for that spot. |
