He then mentioned something about the Hawks have incredible depth and that'll be big help.
I think he has things written on note cards and then they scramble up those note cards and have a third grader read it to him throughout the game so he can attempt to repeat it out loud at random. |

He is awful. Flipped him off at a Yotes game 3 years ago - just glared at me |

Credit to Crow...big save through traffic on the Yotes pp
- philco28
He makes some big saves - some real good saves - it's the shots he lets in that he should save that are the problem.
Hawks are way out-chancing Phoenix - 13 shots against - controlling the game. Unlike last May, Hawks are not just putting easy shots on Smith from the boards - many good chances. Smith is saving Phoenix ass tonite. |

And I'm tired of people making excuses for this guy every time he gives up a bad goal. It's just ridiculous. He has played very well for the most part this season, but until he stops giving up the soft goals at the worst times, people are going to have little confidence in him. I respect your opinion, but come on. That first goal absolutely cannot go in. - RetiredGoalie
making excuses...i gave you facts about his performance...look at his whole year...look at the hwks pk...he has something to do with that...
I am sure as a retired goalie you stop that infield short hop...100% ehhh...
look every goalie in the league gives up bad goals; miller last nite, howard vs calgary the other (two of em) |

Wolves announcer said ads have tie-breaker over icehogs. Is that right? I thought icehogs have most victories of those 3 teams. |

I'm not sure on that.
Also, Smith with a goal for the Hogs! Hogs up on Texas 4-3!
EDIT: Here are the AHL rules on that...
Following are the tiebreaking procedures used in the event of a tie in points in the standings, regardless of division, following the completion of the regular season. (Prior to the end of the regular season, the team with fewer games played is ranked higher in the event of a tie in points.) When a tie among three or more teams is broken resulting in a two-team tie, the original tiebreaking method is used.
Between two teams:
a) wins (excluding shootouts)
b) points in season series between teams
c) goal differential
d) goals scored in season series between teams
e) intra-conference points percentage
Among three or more teams:
a) wins (excluding shootouts)
b) points percentage in combined season series
c) goal differential
d) goal differential in combined season series
e) intra-conference points percentage
I think the Wolves PA announcer is mistaken. |

Those one hoppers are tough - they can bounce anywhere. To me, though, he didn't move his body in front of it; easier to stop a crazy bounce if the whole body mass is in front. |

As I said, you have your opinion, I have mine. If I had given that goal up, I'd still say it was a bad goal and I can't give that crap up. I hate when somebody says, "oh, this guy or that guy gave up a bad goal, as if it somehow justifies when Crawford gives up a bad goal. Sorry, I don't compare what he does to what some guy on a team I could care less about does. I simply judge him on his play and when he plays well or makes a great save I say so, but then when he plays like crap or gives up a bad goal, I say that as well.
He has a history of giving up bad goals at bad times and guys who watch far more hockey than me and know more about the game will tell you he does. Whether you agree or disagree is your perogative, but it's not going to change my mind. |

Don't think Smith did last May against the Hawks. Maybe he will this year (but based on tonite, maybe not), or maybe Howard will against the Hawks, or maybe Lehtonen will, or Bob the goalie.

Milwaukee and Rockford will enter final day of season tied for 8th in West. MIL clinches with a point Sunday; otherwise RFD clinches. |

Yeah I think you are right. He just said it now as ads just beat wolves. I saw a twet yesterday that ads needed 3 points to clinch which now means just 1 point tomorrow. But it will be a tough game on the road. The ads have another really tall goalie that takes up the whole net. I still think they have to make nets bigger |
