Seems to me Shaw got a penalty for a similar move back in the second period.

i understand...think you countered well...i would agree those are times that bad goals don't hurt as much

I'm pulling for the kid - I think he's gotta develop the ability to forget, kinda like a good NFL cornerback.

Too bad Seabrook destroyed Vermette instead of Captain Cheapshot.

Listening to the wgn radio feed and those guys called Doan "a credit to the NHL".

Crawford basically showed his team and coach he wants the starter's job...he was really excellent.

Good recovery from a shakey 1st.... This 2nd point would be nice. Would basically eliminate the Yotes too.

Doan is very two-faced. Seems like a stand-up leader, but you watch him play and all of the sneaky cheap crap finds a way into all facets of his play. Dedicated captain? Yeah. Does all of that "class" translate to his play? Not even slightly.

Except on the 95 footer and the goal where he was on his knees 15 hours before Sunday service.

STAND UP.

Unless they're confident that Smith can outplay Crawford.

Kane clowns the Phoenix broadcasters. "He's going to come in slower than....and he scores."

Edit: Crow goes low and bites too easily this time for the SO.

IF the Coyotes sneak in again I swear

Oh boy, a shootout! The most absurdly pathetc way to decide the outcome of a hard-fought athletic contest ever devised!

Game that are decided by playing a different game than the one the players compete in puts burrs in my socks. This goes for that NCAA football OT crapola too.

But down and out of position on all 3 shoot-out shots. Got lucky on Vrbatta's.

Phoenix OWNS the MOPE.

As far as RETREATING AND FALLING DOWN and LOSING...Crow's got that down pat.

Crawford is a potential weak spot on this team - more critical than the bad PP or the supposed ability of tough teams to beat them into submission.

If - if - the Hawks can play a focused defensive game, limiting the opponent's chances, limiting the shots, clearing some bad rebounds (and he ave up a couple of juicy ones in the third), limiting d-zone turnovers, Crawford can be OK.

He will give up goals on TOs, he will give up goals on scrims at the net that aren't quickly cleared (because he has trouble covering up).

He is unlikely to save games on his own.

I tend to agree. The beach ball goal was the difference. Hawks were tired tonight , but CC can't let that 9 iron chip shot into the net.
