Defense has been shaky the last two. Still found a way to win. I had to leave after the Grabner goal and felt good about the Isles winning. I love how the Isles are playing and all the winning it's still been stressful with a lot of the other teams winning. As Isles fans we are not use to these big games. Bring on the playoffs so we can forget all about the other scores.

Hickey letting that break away happen was horrific. He has not had a ton of those mistakes but.... it worries me... that team was tossing our guys around the ice too.

All I care is to see Islanders into the playoffs and just bring us a team we can play against then we can show what Islanders are since nobody have seen us play since we rarely get on National TV!!!!

That play was brutal letting Wellwood get behind him. Isles still lack size and this is where we need to see guys like Lee, Nelson, and Nino as well as more size on D.

He drives me nuts .... He may get a good deal but I really hope it is somewhere else. I would love to see Brock, Nino, or a UFA/Trade on that wing next season.
- niteislander

Amen. Should not be a spot for Boyes next year with some of the young talent on the way or in UFA/ or trade.

good to see you guys get close to getting in the dance.

Johnny T better be in the MVP talks.

hoping NYR chokes and we see the Jets in round 1, but I have a feeling we will see each other come round 1.

But Hickey also stopped an odd-man rush down low from materializing with an excellent check on Kane along the boards late in the third. An occasional breakdown is going to happen no matter who the defenseman is. I guess the key is that it's not the same guy over and over.

I can't see Isles/Pens in the first round. Maybe the second if we both make it through but not the first. With the schedules remaining it would take a pretty dramatic turn of events for the Isles to come in 8th.

I'd like to see PRICE in the first round but I have a feeling we'll get the Caps and I'm a little worried about that one.

He made up for it by flattening Kane.

Besides Boyes what other forward should they get rid of? I don't want to change it up to much. First line add nino. Leave the second line as is. Third line I personally would like to add ullstrom with grabner. Nelson can centre that line. Fourth line cizikas centres Martin and jj. Then we need to ask yourselves is that to many changes and have the same results.

He's producing a point a game on one of the worst teams in the league. According to HockeyDB, he's 170 points over 230 games.

Considering the fact that we are paying Okposo near 3 million a season, PA at 4 is a good deal.

Hopefully they don't make the same "Just because he's playing with JT" mistake again this year.

He should have been signed.

Definitely would prefer the Habs but despite how good the Caps have looked as of late, we always play them well.

Boyes and Aucoin should both be cut loose. With Nelson, Strome and Nino all coming up, one more will have to go too. Probably Joensuu, but he's played well since his return

Boulton, Reasoner and Aucoin should be gone.

JT - Moulson - AHL Tryout
Frans - Bailey - KO
Grabner - McDonald - Strome/AHL Tryout
Martin - Casey - JJ/Boyes

We've had some success this year so I don't expect many changes coming from outside the organization.

And none of this matters if Nabby isn't signed. Without him (or REAL goalie) we are lottery.

Yeah we do play the caps well. The problem I have with the caps is that I see Price poopting the bed before Ovi. And Ovi will walk through our entire team like they are cones.

Maybe, but we've shut Ovie down this year. I'm more worried about Holtby getting hot

Ovi and tha Caps are getting hot at the right time.. id rather not mess with them.. Habs are backing into the playoffs.

I've been saying that since I've joined.

PA should be on the first line and Boyes shouldn't even be a discussion here.

Who do you hope the islanders play in the first round.
- 2raven2

I don't think it'll work out this way at all, but out of the possible standings outcomes, I think the most exciting matchups would be:

1Pens vs 8Rangers
2Habs vs 7Sens
3Jets vs. 6Isles
4Bruins vs. 5Leafs

3 months ago I was looking at who we should pick with our #1 overall.

Now we're talking about who we'd rather play in the first round.
