It took forever, there was a lot of doubt, and we almost killed each other, but we're finally back in the dance.
So, Nolanders, now can we talk about match-ups? |

Congrats on clinching, I guess.
. Now lets all just hope the Rags fall out, Jets get in. And I think we'll just try and stay out of 8th. |

Agree...there will be more room out there playing the Habs or Caps. Boston's just not a good matchup for the Isles, even if they're not playing so great right now. And the Pens, well, that's a bad matchup for any team . |

Did they change the scoring on the goal, officially?
I got one of the best txt messages I've gotten in a long time tonight (a buddy of mine): I'm getting playoff tickets, how many do you want??
It feels great to not only make the playoffs, but actually feel as if we have a run in us this time. Kencan: We were overdue a bad game. The Hurricanes, for whatever the reason, have had our number all year, and to sneak a point out at the end there, when all the other team FINALLY lose, is great. And, you have to give Ellis (and Rutuu, haha) some credit. The Isles, while shaky at times, controlled most of the 3rd period and OT. Johnny T makes the big play, and, as I said to the wife at about the 2:20 mark of the 3rd, "I can't believe I'm saying this 2 months later, but this is the line I want on the ice right now (the Bailey/Okie/Nielsen line)." They have been our best line. We can roll all four lines right now, for most of the game, and I'm comfortable.
Yes, Okposo rolls out the whole toe drag move one too many times, but how can you get on the guy?? This has been the best he's ever played in the NHL, I don't care what statistics say, he has been one of their best players during this run.
How about this, fellas....we're obviously going to be the road team next week, I fully anticipate a weekend game (either Saturday or Sunday) for Game 3 in just about 2 weeks. The BARN will (frank)ing ROCK again!! |

This is the best thing to happen to the Isles since "Jesse" became "Yessa"

best shootout loss ever. Ill take it. The fact that we tied it with min left to play shows this team will not quit. Carolina tried everything in their power to make this a sloppy game.
Im sure guys, you guy love to ride Boyes but Matt Moulson has to be the players on this team playing with least fire in last 10 games. I mean when he not scoring he does absolutely nothing. He just watchings Boyes and Tavares pass it back and forth to each other.
the hockey gods were definitely with us tonight. I cant believe Ruutu missed an empty net. ALso Cap win and Rags lose. if isles had won it would have been a perfect night.
Well boys, its PLAYOFF TIME. i just got my tickets to first 2 rounds today. |

They don't make it easy do they??
Cane fans could not stop talking about KO tonight. I have gotten down on him more then any other player this season (Yes more then Boyes) but he is turning it around at just the right time... I hope he keeps it up and this becomes his standard.

Don't kill the good vibes by mentioning that douche. This team proves it doesn't need him and their attitude and playing began to change once he was banished to the minors. We're finally making strides in the right direction. I never want to see him with the islanders again. This is Tavares' team now. And he will help us back to the top of the mountain. |

The folks on NHL Tonight had no idea who he was. During the highlights: "Jordan Staal gives it away to" *pause* "Jesse Yoo-Sen-So..." - UIF
Saw that. They didn't even try to correct themselves. Butchie had a good one tonight when trying to say Trottier... I think he used the Russian pronounciation |

Is it any coincidence that the good vibes, the good play, and the good results have this team rolling since he was (finally) sent away? |
