I actually don't mind Howie all that much. A lot of Isles fans hate the fact that he's a Ranger fan. I'm an old dog so I Jiggs as senile as he is plus he has seemed to be a bit of a good luck charm.

At least Washington has a real reason to beat the Jets tonight, they will be working hard, unlike Buffalo and others.

he does remind me of times when I hated the isles more then I do now. As I got older the hate wears off I guess (for some anyway)

I think a lot of it had to do with the state this team has been in for a while now. You guys sucked for a while but have been more competitive for some time now. The rivalry is starting to come alive again and I'm sure there will be new reasons in the next couple of years to further its growth

Short answer is no but like the pa/boyes discussion....lets not go there right now. All that matters is winning & getting 6th (or 5th?) in the standings.

this is something I could not/would not have expected at beginning of season. The bottom four seem (almost)inverted from what we're used to seeing.

If anyone placed a bet in vegas, coulda made a pretty penny.

I truthfully don't care who Islanders will play against. The only thing that matters to me dearly is to see them make it into the playoffs. We are hungry for it and we can feel it because we have this great feeling in ourselves that they are destined for something magical this year. I haven't felt it since.....god I don't remember! I am tired of seeing teams make it into the playoffs all the time while we never had a shot. This is our chance to make it into the playoffs and show them that we mean business. I am very impressed with what Islanders have been doing in April. It is a new team that we aren't accustomed to. I don't care how they found it or they had magical beans and ate it but I like it! I felt that Cizikas, Martin, Mcdonald are the key players that made a difference. Tavares has been our savior for years and he finally received some notice for it.

Let's beat Hurricanes boys! They might have beat us twice this year but that was before we found our destiny! Let's attack them! no mercy!
