I just can't hope they lose.. play hard ot the end.. I love that we beat the almighty Habs the last two times out as well as the Bruins. I think we won the season series vs both teams if you can imagine.

On paper? Probably. With some adjustments made in a timely fashion, they could have made the playoffs.

They've beaten every team in the Top 8 at least once. They aren't that far off.

there'sa lot of budding talent on this team. they're going to need some time, and obviously some d, and a change of philosophy in how they play if they want to climb back into the playoff picture next year.

this season was a wash and virtually everything they could have gone wrong, did...mostly with injuries (insane how many long term injuries occurred), and the majority of the team underperforming/taking a step back. the only solace i take is that it's a half season and we'll get a quality prospect in the draft.

i'm encouraged by the play of mason. think he'll help stabilize the net. get healthy. get some new bodies. regroup. start again. i don't think they're that far off.

Somehow I get the feeling we are going to have another bob like goalie controversy with bryz and mason... Better to just buy the guy out and save him and us fans from all the drama...

It's also evident this team plays better defense in front of mason for some reason

I'm thinking a change in coach/philosophy is the best thing. As for the first rounder, I feel homer is going to use it to get a defenseman. Tweak the roster to get cap compliant and bam playoff bound again. I really expected a conference finals this year.
