That's not what the bet was. Actually, the bet is which one ends up an NHL regular first. Since Pysyk is going back to the AHL after the NHL season concludes, I don't think any of the games this season count.

If thats the bet, then this year isnt enough to determine its conclusion. Pysyk is going back because there is no more NHL to play. Pysyk will be on this team at the start of next year. I cant make the same claim for McNabb.

I'll try to remember this at the start of next season.

I don't think they have to rush him, but I don't think that him getting a regular spot by Feb isn't rushing him either. He seems to be a pretty quick study and seems to thrive on the added pressure and responsibility. I think he'd be fine for regular duty by the end of next season.
