Jones is being touted as a pretty uncommon prospect... level of readiness and polish is already extraordinarily high for a defenseman. Like Pronger, Doughty, Hedman, Bouwmeester... he's probably going to go straight from the draft to the NHL.

that's fine...let him grow up in the NHL but it's going to take more then one or two years for him to develop. All of ones you mentioned took a few years to develop.

Well, they were all pretty darned good their rookie years... they just got even better as they moved along. I kind of expect similar from Jones, but you never know. He's definitely not as far away as guys like Nurse and Pulock are, though.

Got a feeling the buyouts will influence the draft and fa. Teams will know what players will be out there. Think there is going to be alot more talent bought out and will be available than peOple think

Flyers don't deserve to be in the running for 1st-overall, and I mean that in a good way. FLA and COL have just been in a league of their own when it comes to stink.

Victor Stalberg is an interesting UFA.

So here is a question, What would you be willing to trade (if anything) to move up in the draft for Seth Jones? Or Second question, what would you give up to move a couple spots up to Guarantee getting Nurse. Do you think either of those players are so much better than the competition that they are worth some other picks or prospects?
