But there's value to having a veteran defensive/face-off specialist like Hall.
Unlike the valueless, veteran face-puncher, Jay Rosehill. - bradleyc4
He would have been the second star of the game if not for all the Boston love. He was a valuable signing for two years at a modest cap hit. This is not the same as a veteran face-puncher. |

Bring back the Jersey Devils!
It's a shame the old stadium site is a shopping center now. |

I'd like to see a professional ice hockey league reminiscent of Pro Beach Hockey, complete with the 3-point line and ice ramps behind each goal. BRING BACK TONY SZABO (why the hell did he never get drafted, dude had some skill) - jmatchett383
That was great late night summer fun. The Dawg Pac ruled!!!! |

Is that what they did with the Brendan Byrne site? I haven't been up there in years. |

When that was running and I was still playing, I dreamed of playing for the Web Warriors one day. |

Maybe we can trade Couturier for another face-puncher. Need to lead the league in faces punched. |

Trenton Titans are done at least for next year. Time to find a new affiliate at that level. - mayorofangrytown

Sounds like you're a bit of a front runner. They were like the Habs of Pro Beach Hockey. |

Bill, hoping you could give me your thoughts on the following:
1) What do you think is a fair contract for Gagne to return next season?
2) Any word on Hall being re-signed?
Going into next season with 4th line of Rosehill - Hall - Rinaldo would bring high energy, good forecheck, size, and toughness. - PhiFaninEdm
1) I wouldn't go above $2.25 M at maximum and I also might not do it until I see what else the team can do trade-wise or in the open day of free agency.
2) No word on Hall, but I would think they'd like to re-sign him since he's played well and will be inexpensive. |

I know Bernie Parent tried to get the site of the old Pennsauken mart for a hockey arena.
I would love to see minor league hockey in South Jersey and it would seem a natural, considering the number of Flyers fans that actually live in South Jersey.
AC would be fine, as far as I'm concerned. |

Yeah, a bit. But to be honest, if I were playing in the NHL, it would be pretty cool to play for the Habs with all that history. Although I was a fan of the Gargoyles too. And my team was the Xpress, so I liked them too. Didn't care for the other 3. |

No it's not the same rationale. Teams like NJ and Detroit don't use kids to come up and be their top PK players, and take key defensive draws in key situations and games. So I'm not sure what you're talking about. - MJL
Darren Helm, lead all forwards in PK TOI in his rookie year. Not too shabby on FOs.
Corey Emmerton, sophomore, 1:40/game on PK.
Lashoff and DeKeyser, rookies, getting 1:30-2:00/game on PK.
Jonathan Ericsson, 2:00/game on PK in his rookie year.
You might have also heard of guys like Henrique, Fayne, Fraser, Josefson and Stephen Gionta.
That's only recent history, too. |

You can't trade Couturier. He's untouchable.
Who do you think would be an equal face-puncher return for a young player like Coots? Who's leading the league in punched faces and what's their record? Do you honestly think this would improve the Flyers chances to win the cup? I'm sure your reasoning is unacceptable. |

They had the Bullies there but their attendance was crap. Same with the minor league baseball experiment.

In my opinion the inconsistent Bryzgalov has played pretty well for a guy in constant maria heat. So I ask, should the flyers give Bryz one more season for using their free pass to buyout? In my opinion if they can sign Ray Emery for less money and less years, Emery can split time if Mason and then this could lead to a Bryz buyout. I would gamble on goaltending when it comes to Steve Mason.
Should the flyers Re-sign Gagne? If he comes at a 2 seasons or less for 2.5 or less, I say yes. We may not have the offense but he still manages to get back quick with the D. I like his game, just work hard to bring back that offense.
Would you take a chance on Iginla if the Pens can't bring him back. In my opinion younger to play with Giroux but I feel a splash is a must. Voracek really proved me wrong but why not look for a game breaker if possible?
Last, puck moving D. We might not get Seth Jones but I do hope we can get Darnell Nurse as a consolation prize |

Nope. Foster is bigger, more capable of playing stay at home, and has a strong slap shot. He's bad, don't get me wrong, just not nearly as bad as Lilja |
