I don't know if anyone can realistically answer that until we know where we are drafting. Once the teams have slots then you can figure out which teams would make good dance partners for us and go from there... - FlyersGrace
once the slots are given you choose the best player available.
I read a few people wanting the Flyers to lose to move up. I don't agree. |

If Stolarz for whatever reason went undrafted last year and was in this year's draft, where would he rank among available goalies? |

Yep, I think he was asking what we'd trade to move up in the standings for a better draft pick (i.e. Jones or Nurse) or stay pat. Assuming we stay at our number 8 or 9 slot...
I just think there wil be a lot more valuable speculation once we know where everyone falls out in order. |

Don't know but he is looking like quite the 2nd round steal with his play in the OHL. |

As for the Boston thing, I was referring to how they 'found' the wrong guy (Sunil Tripathi), then patted themselves on the back for their hard work. Crowdsourced internet sleuthing is an easy path to a misguided witch hunt, and can harm efforts by the authorities. - BulliesPhan87

Regardless of who you pick, aka Seth Jones...there is still a learning curve. We are not the most patient fan base. Plus, as Bill has mentioned several times, it takes some players 2 to 3 years to learn the position.
this year's draft is deep so the Flyers will get a chance to draft a good player.
I agree with you when it's the order is finalized. |

Yep, usually where the doritos bag is... and who finished them.
Or where to find the best porn. Or what level you need to be for the dungeon crawl. Or the latest insults 13 yr olds give in Gears of War.

They do go stupid slow don't they. So that might be what around 5pm? (I have no clue when the draft begins).
And wait aren't you the one wandering at night stepping on snails? So you can't be THAT old. Gotta be awake for darkness to hit us... Unless you are counting noon siesta... |

True, and because they have Bob, we've traded for Mason who is looking pretty good at the moment too. Just like the Schenn for JVR deal, a lot of these trades can go back and forth when asked the question of who 'Won' them. Regardless it seems their Goalie coach was better coaching Bob and ours better with Mason... maybe we should have just traded Goalie coaches... |

But the best team in the OHL did decide to take him on. I haven't followed his junior year a lot, but I remember people being worried he wouldn't really play at all because he was on a good team. It looks like he showed up and took the job over. That has to count for something |

Yeah mainly this. I think it's good to see some positives coming out of his play. And best team or not, a ten game stretch of a 1.68 GAA & .949 is still pretty good. I'm sure it does his confidence some good at any rate. |

I think the first round started at 8pm last year.

I believe the general consensus is for the Flyers to play hard the rest of the way and to win as many games as possible because it's the right thing to do and to build confidence in the kids for next year.
However, give the same general consensus a shot of Sodium Pentothal and I suspect that they would say otherwise.
