At 37, it is a pretty good story.
What I find interesting about it is that he got a late start. Yet, he seems to be keeping up his production long past when most other players statistically drop off.
It makes me wonder if age is the problem, or if it is the amount of pro hockey played that just takes its toll on the body. - Aetherial
was great here in AHL for SJ Flames. An acquaintance of mine hung around with him, she dated his teammate. They used to put phone books on the seats in restaurants for him.

... another way he is an exception. It really is an atypical career in a lot of ways. He has never really got the recognition he deserves. In some ways it is a little like Dr. Recchi.

Honestly think the Isles are going to overtake us now. Was hoping to play the Habs in the first round but not so sure it happens anymore. Damn. - deerow84

I have this same sick feeling...
Montreal plays like hell on Saturday to avoid us in the first round and we get Washington.

I want the Pens!! - faceto27
I actually thought the same thing... except that I suspect they are now just resting all their star players. It could be over quickly for whoever faces them in the first round.

I don't buy it. There's always pressure in the playoffs. Even if you're the 8th seed. - Pecafan Fan
You missed the part where he says "less pressure", which concedes that there will be pressure, but not at the same level as a team that is not only expected to win a round, but multiple rounds. Specifically, the higher seeds.

thing is, that underdog role can change in a heartbeat and with it, so does the pressure. 2 years ago, Habs went into their first-round series with Boston as the underdog. then they won the first 2 on the road. all of a sudden, pressure shifted, and the Bruins became the underdog with nothing to lose.

Thank you for visiting this ad! On the block today we have one (slightly) used kidney for sale. Condition is 7/10, functions normally but has minor damage due to delaying urinary relief in the evening because the owner was too lazy to get out of bed. The kidney in question has been around for 26 years and the hardened layer of patina surrounding it is all the proof you need.
Willing to negotiate for Leaf playoff tickets in the lower bowl. Must be willing to throw in some beer and snacks since I've already spent the money from selling some bone marrow.
Depending on your wealth and general level of health, might be willing to throw in another appendage or organ to sweeten the deal.
