Glenn Healy has as many cups as Seguin too. The guy was a beast.

Boyd Devereaux just as good as Seguin?

More playoff goals than all the Leafs combined over the past 8 years
- bruinsbeer69

Technically Kessel has more than Seguin over that span.

Not many players aren't better than him.

Yeah, if you count when he was a Bruin

Not with that platoon of golfers in Toronto.

Your team blows. Your fanbase tries to eliminate inconvenient facts to make yourself feel better about trades that worked out in our favor

Are you talking about the Rask for Raycroft trade?

Do you really feel that "he has more cups" is a great argument? Cups are won by teams, not individuals. Mathieu Dandenault has three cups. Do you feel that makes him a better hockey player than Zdeno Chara, who will likely never win 3?

Gonna be a good series. I wanted to play the Habs. They're not built for playoff hockey, and quite frankly, are an overachieving club right now. It's interesting, the two softer teams in Ottawa and the Habs are facing off, and the two bigger, tougher teams are facing off. I think this should be an easy win for the Bruins, but injuries, and the Bruins slumping may make it closer than some seem to expect. It's going to be a hard hitting series though, and fun to watch.

I don't see the Sens as soft at all.

I don't think they're among the leagues softest or anything, but I don't think of them as a very tough team, that's for sure. Certainly not to the same extent as Toronto or Boston, that's for sure. They're easily the two most physically intimidating teams in the division. Probably Sens third, Buffalo 4th, Montreal easily last. If I had to rank them, I guess.

I was only referring to physical toughness, and style of play. Not soft as in, easy series.

Are the leafs going to dress all, some, one or none of their so called "tough guys"?

Having a tough guy(s) in the line up for the playoffs, who average 5 or 6 minutes during the regular season, might be a liability.

the only time you can use the cup debate is when someone is a beast in the regular season and chokes in the playoffs year after year

seguin won a cup yes but as a 3rd line rarely used guy

with that argument the 4th line plugs that got 5 mins a night are better than Stamkos

I don’t think they’ll change their lineup much from the regular season. I think you’re also assuming I’m talking about Fraser Mclaren and Colton Orr, but I’m just as much referring to Fraser, Komarov, hell even Franson, Kulemin, and McClement offer some elements of toughness. There is a fair bit of toughness throughout the lineup, not just enforcers.

What "Facts" are we eliminating in the Kessel trade?

Luckily the Leafs have a better offense than Boston and don't just lean on Phil.

par for the course for him vs boston. i'd be surprised if he got a point all series, even if it went 7 games. kadri and lupul are going to have to step up if this is going to be anything other than a quick 4 game series.

Lets start with this.

I know Seguin has gotten no criticism this season, but he's been a big disapointment.

Seguin has 16 goals and is 7th in the entire league in +/-.....so lets start with that for facts your choosing to ignore.

This is a very winnable series for Toronto. Far from the slam dunk many are making it.

You don't think Seguin's been a dissapointment? It was already stated the great hype he got in Europe. He was expected to do a lot more. The media kissed his butt over his play in Europe.

And +/- is a team stat. Not impressive. Phil Kessel was +23 his last season in Boston.

Actually, Julien may have to focus on others. You can't just eliminate Kessel and that's it anymore. The Leafs got 3 out of the last 4 points against the Bruins and Kadri looked great.

I think Seguin is turning into the next Kessel, actually. He's a bit soft, and worried too much about losing ice time if he pisses off coach. I also think there are a number of maturity issues with him.

But you said "big disappointment"....which is subjective, and falls much closer to false than true.
