Oliver Lauridsen goal streak??? - Tomahawk
He got ahold of that one. |

I have stated my thoughts on this before. I think there's a certain code amongst players that you just don't say certain things to the media or even in "the room" in front of the team. Pointing fingers at other players can be taboo, especially for a "new guy" who has, himself, made some questionable plays. I don't know if it is Bryz's ignorance or cultural differences or some need to be brutally honest or to cause trouble or what, but it seems his statements do more to estrange him from his teammates than to endear. Though it's not always the case, it can bleed over into play on the ice. I've been on teams where the goalie was a douche, and you just don't feel as confident or as willing to have his back if he should say, let in a bad goal or two, as you would to someone you trust and respect.
I've said before, I think it would be best if Bryz was on media lockdown...I'll add that he should probably be told, in no uncertain terms, that he isn't to speak ill of any teammeates in the presence of others...at least until he earns the respect to do so. - exlund you know the way they were playing the first half, they deserved it... Bryz knew the importance of those games and played his ass off... It's not like he threw anyone under the bus...if the lockeroom is pusses at him for stating the obvious, then they are all just a bunch of heartless punks... Bryz this and bryz that .... Try to throw briere into the overpaid suck bucket and everyone gets pissed... He was heartless this year when we are counting on him... Yet no one says poop about that |

Kind of lame though, because Bryz would probably be the guy I'd most like to go fishing with out of all of 'em. - flyer_nutter
Agreed...I wouldn't mind hanging out with him and philosophizing, but I could see how maybe working with the guy could be frustrating. |

.500 is not what you think it is Jim Jackson.
That means you have won half your games. The Flyers have NOT won half their games. |

worse thing this team could have done is play great AFTER being eliminated from playoffs....Personally wanted something from this disaster of a season will be lucky to get Risto at this point. |

Briere, like Bryz, is overpaid...but you don't hear him throwing anyone under the bus...he's respected because he's earned it over the years. Also, he has been a class act and team player amidst a tough situation vis-a-vis his status this off season. |

I disagree... Where was he this year when the team needed him the most?or last?
Bryz showed it on the ice instead of moping to reporters |

sooooooooooo...... .500 with one game to go.
it's too bad they sucked at ES. It's too bad they sucked on the road. It (frank)ing blows they aren't making the playoffs. despite all the injuries and the bad start about 5-6 games sunk this team...games they could have and probably should have won when leading or being tied after 2 and coming away with nothing.
nice bomb from the dane. nice to see them finishing strong even if it hurts their draft position. they're going to end up with a good prospect. |
