NCAA I'm excited for just for some good college hockey and to show all my 'Burgh friends how a real hockey town shows up to some good college hockey. Pittsburgh showing this year was awful.

Loved going to the PSU/Vermont game and was saying how much I'd like to see more D1 hockey at the WFC.

Does anyone else feel like the good play of the young and patchwork has made Coburn and Mez expendable? When i say expendable trading away for some cap space and getting something in return? I get the feeling Homer is going to get his #1 d-man this season even if overpayment is needed just hoping its minimal damage.

Plain and simple, Bryzgalov is not well-liked by teammates because it's their belief that he's thrown teammates under the bus on more than one occasion.

I haven't heard Bryz say that Coburn is a large turnstile this year either. Bryz gets grilled by the media because he is a goalie and its Philadelphia, as well as I think there is a bit of a language barrier. Not in that he isn't smart, but just the culture difference and the way things are interpreted. He gets grilled with the hard "why isn't this team performing" questions moreso than anyone on the team, and there has been numerous occasions where he looks like he is trying to search for the answer without stepping on toes, and it almost got to the point where he was just shrugging at those questions and saying "I dont know".

At the very least, he told it how it is. Lack of preparation, not enough grinding, not enough paying attention to details in the defensive zone. I have not once heard him come out and openly or even implicating at criticizing a teammate.

Yet, you haven't seen a single Flyers player come out and openly say "Bryz should have had that one" or "We need Bryz to be better" or "He was a bit of an @hole to Bob" or "Yeah, I saw him sleeping in that meeting" or "They'd trade him, but nobody wants him".

Afterall, the locker room is their workplace and we all know about work place drama. However, the beat writer Richards surely pick on Bryz and goad him into saying things. I don't see them doing that kind of stuff to any other players. Quotes I see from leaders on the team are largely cliches. Bryz was honest.

Interesting too because if I'm not mistaken goalies get an automatic 5 game suspension if they fight in the Q, does that mean Armada goes into the next round of the playoffs without there top-2 goalies? Do they even have a 3rd stringer?

Remember when he threw Coburn under the bus after a bad goal?

I seem to recall that they called him into a meeting with the team leaders after that... something about needing to be a better teammate.

Part of it is enhanced media scrutiny... but allegations of him being less than an ideal teammate have dogged him for years.
