Maybe I just look at it differently than you guys. Would I expect the Isles to upset Pitt? Probably not, but if they lose I'm certainly not going to be happy about it even if they took them to 7 games.
Big steps forward were taken this year but being content with losing is never a good thing.

i'm not content..only one team is going to win the cup,....if we don't win the cup that does not over shadow the progression this team has made this year... no matter what happens nobody on the team or on this board should hold their heads down...

thats bull poop i'm sorry..i could give a rats ass what happened 20 years ago..it means nothing in the context of right now..this has been a fantastic season where our team shows up to every game and gives and honest effort...thats all i can ask for as a fan

i agree...if isles lose in the playoffs ill be upset for awhile...but (assuming they lose in the 1st round) a few weeks later after the season ends, ill look back at the season and id say overall it was definitely a success...

These are kids amongst men and there first taste of playoff action. A full season would we be in the playoffs?? Hard to tell. TO me making it after all this team has been through with the young team they have is awesome and it is something to be happy about

Reading the thread I see some questioning by capuano dressing bouton and carkner, so i was curious who sat for them? From an outsider perpective, if it ain't broke don't try to fix it. Your lineup was doing fine. But Philly does tend to start shyt do I can see why they were in
