Actually we had a really bad winter snow and temperature. Last year was a breeze.
The problem with Winnipeg is that when we get the snow, it stays. We don't have too many of those above freezing days from Dec 1 to March 1.

Also I'm across from a bunch of soccer and baseball fields and I get a lot of drifting. Most of the yard is clear except that one drift.

I think you can go whenever, so long as you have a ticket and the game isn't over.

It's not uncommon to see people show up in the 3rd inning.
