"Holmgren said he expects Mike Knuble to retire, and he didn’t seem hot on re-signing short-term fill-ins Adam Hall and Kent Huskins. Ruslan Fedotenko is also a longshot to re-sign, while Simon Gagne should find a way to stay. " - Tomahawk

I'd do that, although I really do not think Flyers would get more back.
Defenseman in trades are at a premium.
The salary is pretty close, but Hartnell is signed for more years. - Marc D

Carchidi on twitter - Bryz, who I think moonlights as an adjunct journalism professor at Temple, rips media for its #Flyers coverage.

It's clear that Homer has such a problem with trading young guys that he has to injure them himself to stop his urge from trading everybody.
Go to Homer's office, leave with a concussion.

You go Bryz! - MBFlyerfan
I am in Voorhees today, gathering material for tomorrow's blog and for an article for the Flyers' official site. Bryzgalov initially did not want to talk at all and said he'd already answered a bunch of questions and his answers wouldn't change (and he'd end the interview on the spot if it was more of the same).
The first question asked was whether he feels gets unfairly singled out for criticism, and he was off and running. He spoke from the heart and with brutal honesty. I don't agree with everything he said, but I can see where he's coming from with most of it.
In particular, he said that too often in the media there's an oversimplification of the game. I'm paraphrasing but he made a point that individual players get too much blame when there are team-wide issues. Rather than seeing the team lost for A,B,C,D reasons and needs to improve in A,B,C, too often it's an exaggerated focus on one thing or one person.
I agree with that. |

He really needs to be on a team with an apathetic media and fanbase like Phoenix or the Devils. |

I know Philly is hard on there goalies but I dont think I have ever seen it this bad. Even after this rant the media couldnt wait to fire back at him. Its a shame too cause the guy is a character, if he wasnt being paid so much I think there would be half the criticism. |

I agree with him Bill. Big time. Its isn't just sport coverage either.
However what does he hope to do here exactly? Win some kind of battle?
He is just feeding them again, they are getting exactly what they want from him.
Edit: Honestly dont know why the Flyers cannot restrict access to these guys. Or some of them in particular. Imho they have caused too much trouble, and needless harm/distraction to the team for a long time now. |

Yep, sure sounds like coach Lavi is coming back.
I wonder if the end of the year wins saved his job. |

From the stuff I've seen from Homer publically, he seems to put most of the blame into the injuries.
Now while I would definately agree with this, they sucked ass even before guys started dropping like flies. Patience is one thing, but it has to be calculated. Rolling the dice with the same crew, and I'll really wonder if Homer is the right guy for the job. |
