Around here? So you attempt to marginalize everyone by trying to tag a false statement like that to this board? What type of dope sticks around a board like this when it's so obvious everyone thinks he's slower than a down syndrome marathon? You don't even know how prospects are developed. You think a goalie is a bust because he's not backstopping a team before 23! Say, did you know how old Lunqvist was when he started playing full time for the rags? - keaner17
I know this - the way the Islanders have been doing it is wrong. End of story.
Bringing up guys who aren't ready is the mistake the Islanders have been making for years. It needs to change.
And yes, Poulin is not the guy. |

Let the kid play on a line with some even decent players with some OK playing time then judge him. - Cptmjl
But what happens if he does well? Will he then get the "Just because he's playing with JT" treatment like PAP and Boyes did?
Obviously if someone does well on the first line it's not because of them. And obviously if someone plays on the 4th line and does bad it's because they aren't playing with the top line.
So what's the solution?
You play him with JT and JT gets all the credit for everything.
You play him on the fourth line and he sucks. |

I want to know one thing, and one thing only, and I'll never bother you again....
do you really think you're the only one who thinks this?? |

I give up man you are so far gone its comical. I will chop off my arms and stick them up my own arse if I ever respond to another one of your moronic post again. - Vukota
Yeah, I'm "gone" because I realize that you need to learn from your mistakes in order to not repeat them. Nino is already ruined here. It's over. They should be shopping him now while he still have even the smallest bit of value.
Strome can still make it. That's only if they do the right thing and give him at least half of next year in BP.
If they bring him up one of two things will happen. He will either be put on the top line with one of the best players in the world or he will be put on the fourth line and be Nino 2. If he's put on the first line with JT, JT gets all the credit. If he gets on the fourth line, again, he's Nino number 2.
Draft, develop, and ease them into it. They Islanders haven't done any of those three very well at all in recent history. |

The guy sucks, if you think he is even a decent player it shows your knowledge of the game. - Cptmjl

You're a real sensitive fella, huh?
It's amazing how serious you take this Internet business.
You're right. You're a better fan than me and know much more than I do. Congratulations. Enjoy the sweep. |

I've been a fan longer than you. Remember that.
And I don't take it serious at all. You are the one begging for an answer from me. Just like you were doing last night. |

You have no clue who is ready and who isn't. None. You just use blanket statements based on Mike Milbury picks from a decade ago. Clearly you have no idea what type of player Strome is so your assertion that he's not NHL ready is laughable. As for Poulin, lets see, Patrick Friggin' Roy says he's capable of being a franchise goalie yet because the same guy who thinks Brad Boyes is a star says he's not good enough that means something... |

What does that mean? Curious, I've been on this site longer than you. I don't mean to question your superiority, its means so much to you, but I figure a simple question can't hurt. |

I know that Bailey, Okposo, and Nino are not developing and will never develop into the players we were told they would be. You also know that.
We are sold a bill of goods every year. You are still buying. I am not. |
