not sure i'd clarify him as soft on the puck, but in general, i agree with you. hopefully he takes a few steps forward next season. - hammarby31
I see him consistently knocked off his skates when battling for a puck. Would like to see him go to the greasy areas a little more too. I chalk it up to a younger player learning on the job. |

You would leave because of my opinions...you would only hurt yourself...its obvious what will happen if lavy stays that is all.... - Philly1980
He will make adjustments that will take time, which is what they'll have plenty of over 82 games compared to a 48-game season? |

No, I would leave because of the way you express your opinions. I'll leave it at that.
As for hurting myself by leaving... |

There is no question in my mind that Laviolette has the ability and knowledge to tweak his style of play. The question is will he? He's always seemed committed to his philosophies. Some of which are very good, and some parts of his preferred style of play should remain. But they need to be more of a 3 zone team. You can pressure the puck all over the ice, not just deep in the offensive zone. And his breakout schemes need to get much better.

What is the feeling in the room about Bryz being given another season before a decision on a buyout? I think it's the right choice. Many outsiders who aren't flyers fans seem to this it's a dumb choice but clearly do not follow the team.
Also how do you all feel about a Gagne return at cheap cap hit? I love this decision as well. I'm not convince he is done with scoring, at least not in bunches. He is a hard worker and gets back pretty quickly to help the D. Sometimes it's as if we have three dmen. |

I agree on both counts. Like to see what Bryz can do playing behind a team committed to playing the right way. And would like to see Gagne back.

For some reason I have this feeling Nashville is going to win. I don't know why. But it would be funny to see them take Jones orver a forward. |

Bryz will be a victim of that contract he signed more than anything else. If we have a shot at iginla. Amnesty bryz to get him under the cap. If not roll with him another year |

Meh I think the worst team wins it.
Just another case of media coverage trying to generate hits by building this thing up to be more than it is.
Seems as if you put some dramatic words and music on TV these days people flock. |

They only have a 25 percent chance. The odds of the worst team actually getting it while the highest of any team is actually pretty terrible. |

i agree with your overall point here
but not really seeing it in this instance, especially since your team had the worst record a few years back and didnt win the lottery |

I actually really hope Florida wins it.

I'm a fan of Bryzgalov and I'm on the fence...I understand both sides of the discussion and ultimately, if they're certain to use a CBO on him, might as well do it now, rather than risk an injury.
Of course, if he plays at a Vezina level next season...
I'm very open to a Gagne return, depending on what assets are used to help the defense. |

Does anyone in here really want Iglina as a Flyer? Are you willing to pay the price? Do you think he could still put up big numbers next to Giroux? I think Iglina would be good for this team. I think he would be a nice balance in the locker room. Kind of a fix between both Jagr and Pronger. |
