twitter folks think the flyers might trade up with tampa bay
11th for 3rd, what would that take? - Marc D
I'll just say stick at 11 we'll do just fine. |

I don't get the feeling that he doesn't want to stay in Philly. With the way the team played this Season, especially defensively. There are very few Goalies in the League who could be the solution. He pretty much had to try and stand on his head game in and game out to keep the team in the game. They were that bad. I said it many times during the Season. He's not Hasek. But play solid team defense in front of him, and I believe he can play at a high level. - MJL
This kind of echoes Ken Dryden's belief that there are good good-team goalies and good bad-team goalies. Hasek ended up fitting both categories eventually, though. |

I have no problem with it, I'm fine at 11 that I'd be at 8 or 3. I've done & continue to my share of watching draft prospects. I'm watching the Bellevlle vs Barrie game at the moment. |

Interesting.
They would be going for Drouin, Barkov or the Russian at that point. Would rather save assets to save for a d-man but any one of those big 5 could be a special player. |

I would consider moving up with the 2nd rounder for him. maybe Columbus will move down with one of the picks? |

+33 I believe this year.
Amazing size, coaches rave about his leadership and attitude towards learning. Showed a strong desire by coming to N.A. already, and does have offensive potential in him.
I dont think it would be a reach for him at 11th.
Although if Pulock or Nurse remain I'd have to think twice. |

Even for possible 2nd rounders I'd have a list as long as what I'd have for the 11th pick.

Yea the cost to move up that high would be crazy. Honestly I wouldn't be suprised if we deal the pick for a #1 dman |

I agree. Some Goalies can thrive in a situation where they have to be the best player game in and game out. Although there hasn't been many of them. Bryzgalov is not one of those players.

Nashville at 4 is interesting. Waiting on Nishuskin could piss Weber off. So could taking yet another D man in Nurse. - hereticpride
Yikes, after Radulov, I wouldn't blame them for opting for Barkov or Lindholm or Monahan. |

Have a feeling that somebody in the top-10 (I'm looking at you, Calgary) is going to go (way) off the board and at least one of those top-10 talents will be available to the Flyers at 11. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Flyers go (way) off the board at 11, either. |

Somebody with a strong strain of the good stuff.
At three you get Drouin or Nurse. In my opinion it isnt worth the cost to move up for what is available at 11. |

I'd say if any team in the top 10 picks Valery Nichushkin it's Calgary.

Homer surprised me with the Laughton pick last year, especially with Maatta on the board, but as of now I'm loving that pick. I have faith. |

Nobody should panic at all we'll do just fine at 11. Plenty of names/solid prospects to consider. |

No way Monahan gets past edmonton at 7. Carolina is in an interesting spot, I could see a reach for zadorov there |

I think the top 5 will be Jones, MacKinnon, Drouin, Barkov and Nichushkin. After that, I could see Nurse and Ristolainen be grabbed ahead of Monahan or Lindholm, similar to the run on defense last year. 6-15 could be a total crapshoot. |

Do have to wonder if Edmonton finally goes with a badly needed d-man. Plenty of forwards that they could afford to take that risk. |

Zadorov might be a smarter pick than Nurse if both are available... big Z has the size, mobility and intimidation-factor of an elite #1 dman... his offense has to come along, but I wouldn't be surprised to see his numbers explode post-draft. |
