The +/- Flower puts up with his offensive numbers leads me to believe he is flat out horrible in his own zone.

How do you put up 40 points on D and still be -25? And he did it again putting up 30 points and being -28.

Score a lot of your points on the PP, where it doesn't affect your +/-. In his rookie year, 23 of his 40 points were on the PP, so on more than half his points, he didn't get a plus. Last year, 11 of his points were on the PP.

I still think he needs to be good enough 5 on 5 to keep his +/- atleast above -5 for us to have any interest in him as an answer to our defensive problems.

I still stand by my belief that Read, Coburn, Mezaros, and 2 1st rounders have the capability of acquiring an elite defenseman or actually, Read, Coburn, and 3 1st rounders has much more value.

We might need more picks even if they are 2nd and 3rd rounders. Many I'm looking at are defense but decent ones.

Probably true. I'm looking to add another puck moving defenseman with some offensive ability.
