regarding Niemi, I've watched the last 3 or so games against LA and I swear that Carter still can't beat him. Glorious chance after glorious chance. In a strange way, I take pleasure in that. - wilsonecho91
Niemi has never made a save against Carter. Carter cant manage to get shots off against him. |

i could get behind san jose, if not for niemi.
and the isles or red wings? no (frank)ing way jose. - hammarby31
I used to hate the Isles just like the Rangers. But I guess they've sucked long enough now that my hatred has lessened a bit. And if they find a way to beat the Pens (I know, not likely), they could be my new favorite team for a week or two.
As for the Wings, it's more of a case of my hating the other teams more, than it is liking the Wings. Can't stand Anaheim (hate their coach, hate Perry, sick of Ryan), can't stand Vancouver (hate the Sedins), hate Chicago, really hate LA, and although I don't hate them, I do not want to see Minny win anything after buying Suter and Parise. Was really hoping they'd miss the playoffs. Also do not want to see Hitch win another one, so that rules out the Blues. So that leaves the Wings and maybe the Sharks.
Actually, now that I think about it, I'd love to see the Sharks win the west, and then have McLellan say afterward that what turned their season around was getting rid of that albatross Doug Murray, just so Nutter will shut up about the Flyers trying to sign him. |

because pucks don't taste as good and they're difficult to chew.

So according to TSN, the Flyers dont have a player ranked in the top 50. Jake Czechs in at #51, Giroux at #56 and Timonen at #58.
Dupuis, Ladd, Steppan, Paul Martin, Pacioretty, Tlusty, Wheeler, Marchand all ranked higher... some much higher |

i could hate any team on any given day, depending on my mood. i don't hate the isles the way i used to, but i still can't root for them despite their perpetual suckage.
i do find the canucks and ducks annoying at times, but there are things about both clubs i like. i was a huge vancouver fan in the early-mid 90s, until bure left and messier joined them. ruined everything.
the real reason i'd root for the sharks is because mclellan constantly looks like a monchichi after an all-night bender.

How many would be open to trading down? Let's say Columbus was willing to deal their pick and the Rangers' 1st rounder for the 11th pick. I'd definitely be listening to offers to move down, so long as it involved getting another first rounder. |

i wouldn't mind if it meant getting a shot at a guy like Domi with the later pick. Guess it depends on who is available at No. 11 and whether that's their guy or whether they have their eyes set on a guy they know won't go at No. 11 and will be available a few picks later. |

the only team that i'd be happy to see win it is Anaheim. I wouldn't mind LA repeating (though I know that's not the most popular opinion in the room) or San Jose. Everyone else i would not like. Except maybe the Wild, but I have a hard time thinking of them at all. - wilsonecho91
