Eller just got creamed. - MBFlyerfan
Did he hit the ice face first? There's a lot of blood on the ice.
EDIT - Yep |

That is stunning
FYI- regarding your location....NO SHE DOESN'T - KINGKENZO
amusing to say the least. i'd love to see a team actually wear these.
as far as KT is concerned, she was practically screaming during her broadcast the other night. she needs to settle the f down and not wear so much make up. she's pretty...doesn't need to make herself look like a creepy clown. imho, of course. |

It looked like a shoulder to the head, to me. Nasty, and probably not completely intentional, but one of those hits they're trying to do away with.

I haven't seen a replay, kids were a little too fascinated by the blood |

It was all head when he has the chance to just take the body. |

He def leaned in with the shoulder. Don't know if principle point of contact is to the head though. Tha damage was the face to the ice |

The kids thought it was fake...didn't help that I yelled "Sweet Jesus!" when he landed. |

Headshot or not, I think Shanny will see that as a helpless player. Exactly the kind of hit they are trying to get out of the game. And it would have been perfectly legal in 1999.
The call on the ice was interference. But that was actually the wrong call.

there was a lot of blood. i missed the hit by a split second and when i saw the aftermath, i thought he might have been cut by a skate. |

He def hit all head, but my point is he's 6'"5, Ellers 5'10. I don't think he intentionally targeted his head. It was an unfortunate result of thesize disparity |

So I asked the toronto comment board what they figured Jake Gardiners value to be, and I got a "We don't like him". This obviously doesn't speak for the whole fan base, but hey, it's partially good news. I haven't heard a Flyers fan say that about Coots, Schenn, or even Gus, so. |

Not the first time that has happened either. They showed numerous illegal hits on NBC when the season opened.

The Flyers may have to settle for a Gardiner or Jamie McBain that fell out of favor or who ended up in the coach's doghouse. It's not awful, but it's a bit more risky than an established top 4 guy. |
