he sounds like Booger at the end. this series is my all-time favorite for hockey commercials. blackhawk at the burger joint is the best one. "weak! weak! weak!....glove haaaand!"

Bill,
What about Ryan Ellis as a young guy to target that could run the 2nd PP unit? Would Nashville consider him an untouchable?

Here's a novel concept in lieu of making a major move in a time of dealing from weaknesses: How about exercising a little patience? Given the inflated sticker prices on the top end of both the UFA and trade markets, I would be fine with re-shaping one or two of the 3-to-5 spots from the 2013 season-opening depth chart, giving Gustafsson a chance to run with a full-time NHL roster spot and then re-assessing as the season progresses

Amen to this!

Reshaping one or two of the 3 to 5 spots, to get a better mix without giving up too much from their core of forwards/prospects/draft picks sounds good to me.

very intrigued by the Habs Sens matchup

Subban vs Karlsson, the goalie match up, will the Sens try to get tough with the Habs, Habs speed... I think this will be a close 7 game series.

So what are your thoughts on trading our first this year and next year and maybe a second plus Couturier for Dougie Hamilton. I think this works for both teams.

I would throw in Meszaros as a salary dump to sweeten the pot!

I wouldnt mind having Hamilton but Boston isnt trading him, no reason to. I guess you never know though. I think Homer is going to go for a true #1 dman that plays that role immediately.

ok... totally going off the deep end here, but what do you guys think of a trade like this...

This is just an idea... tinker and toy with it how ever you want.

Our first and Simmonds for Carolina's 1st and Faulk?

Is there any reasonable defenseman likely to come on the market due to a compliance buy out?
I am sure some team is looking to pick up D.Briere cheap if we buy him out. Are there any similar situations that the Flyers can take advantage of?
