Less irony and more along the lines of why we hear so much about him on this board. People here realize we could have had him...
I still like Coots though. Watching him put sand in Malkin's cup is beyond entertaining. I normally adore the D-men the most but last years play-offs really warmed a spot in my heart for Coots. - FlyersGrace
the best part of his game is his awareness and hockey sense. very difficult, if not impossible to teach. when you have that at his age, along with versatile physical skills, you've got a potential gem.
i love that kid, and don't want to trade him. as i've repeatedly said here this season, i would like to hang onto our 1st round picks for more than 5 minutes before we give up on his potential and move him for some other gaping hole in the lineup. find another way hOLMGLObber.

Ha, the kid on the right is Finch from American Pie. The kid on the left is Mac from Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The guy who plays the goalie is also a pretty famous actor now but I cant place his name.

Dekeyser is playing extremely well for the Wings. The Flyers would have loved to have signed him. They showed a ton of interest in him last year, I'm sure they were in on it this season too.
ok... totally going off the deep end here, but what do you guys think of a trade like this...

I'd have to think about the trade. But Faulk is another example of how you can get good young defenseman drafting after the first round. One of these times, one of these later picks is going to pan out for the Flyers.

the finchmeister appearance always makes me laugh every time i watch this. american pie wedding was on just a couple of nights ago. yes, i watched it. again.
the goalie i don't know. he's great in this commercial.

Would you trade Read for him? I do admit that we have a bunch of fine forwards. And I have come to grips that Read may be the odd man out... I seriously hope not but someone is prolly gone.

Tough one for me. I'm a huge Read fan. I like everything he does. Reminds me a bit of RJ Umberger who I also enjoyed watching play for us.
I think I might have to do it though. Would be bad for Dekeyser though since he had his pick of teams made his choice and then he doesn't even get a full season before getting traded.
