That would make way too much sense. It's not that Hickey and joensuu are so good it's that reasoner, Boulton, and at tines carkner are soooooo bad. Completely stupid moves by Capuano. None of it makes any sense whatsoever.

As much as AMac has been up and down this season... There is no way he sits unless he is hurt... Hamonic's partner and he did block the most shots of any Dman this year.

Carkner should be in but he should be dressing for Strait and not for Hickey IMO.

That's fine but to say he wouldn't be in the NHL on any other team is wrong...

I agree he has been very up and down this season compared to past seasons but he wont be scratched unless he is hurt.

I think AMac is a underrated defenseman playing out of position... He is a 3rd-4th defeseman playing top-pair minutes against the other teams top players.

I dont think anyone would disagree with this? I'd say he's more a 5/6 though. He has good moments but too many bad ones in between.

I'm not saying Hickey is the game changer, or that Joensuu was anything spectacular, but Hickey was doing fine, Joensuu was able to help keep a forecheck going, and most importantly, the team was rolling at the end of the season with a certain lineup...I guess I don't understand why the Isles can't put out the lineup that got them here. If it falters, then start subbing in the extras.

although i like hickey, he was clearly being targeted and was physically over-matched. strait is much more of a physical presence...of course defense would be nice but thats secondary i guess
