Well, to be fair he was a Pens fan. Although he was obnoxious about it, it's not surprising that he's a homer.
I'm glad that the Pens now won't get that chance to sweep. Glad for the Isles, too. Those fans have endured many a postseason doing what we've done as Devils fans 2 out of the last 3 seasons: watching from the sidelines.
Hope NJ at least gets back the postseason next year. Playoff hockey, while exhilirating, is exponentially better with your team in it. |

Looks like the Devils lose either way. Lou's gonna try hard to re-sign him and he'll be about 1-2M overpaid for two years too long. But NJ can't afford to let him go for nothing. He's an integral playoff type player. |

Unfortunately, I'm resigned to the fact that this will probably happen. Should've traded him. When he regresses back to normal & never again touches 30G, everyone will feel the same. Of course, if I'm wrong I'll gladly acknowledge it if it means he keeps producing. |

He has been invisible hardly even remember he plays for them cause he doesn't stand out at all just skates around like the rest of the team |

Don't tell that some of the people on here he is a living breathing legend Yea we miss him but we have lost better players for nothing before and where fine Lou has just made some slip ups this time that he didn't make when we lost guys before but that is another thing no one around here wants to admit he runs it like family instead of like a business and sometimes it works out for yea and sometimes it doesn't |

Because its nearly a given he'll get a crazy offer from a team. If we're going to match a 4.5+ deal, then I'd much rather him leave. |

I didn't watch more than a few minutes but the shift I saw he was forechecking like a dog on raw meat and creating pressure in chicago's zone, while hawks had possession and wild were changing. Nearly forced a turnover. I miss his wheels and skill. |

yea 1 good shift isn't enough to warrant much but to be fair the hawks are making the entire wild team look like ahlers |

Well that's all I saw and it was more of what I'm used to seeing from Parise. Maybe for the other 19 shifts or whatever he was an ahler. |

They are playing a really good team that is very poised right now im not so sure if the penguins could beat the hawks if they where playing each other right now everything is clicking for them on top of them already being a top team in the league |

Hopefully he has no interest in going there nothing against the sens but I remember when they where considering trading neil I would have loved him on the devils but he had the right to give a list of teams he would not play for and we where on it pissed me off a bit lol I know this is a totally different situation but still |

You could have EASILY grabbed a first in the 18-28 range.
I would say you could have probably grabbed a first outside maybe the top 5.
You think Edmonton couldn't use a guy like that for the 7th overall? - Aetherial
I don't think teams were lining up with first round picks for a player who may or may not re-sign with them. This has been pointing to T.O. for so long, maybe his mind is already made up. |
